I've followed every exact instruction in the Export process, but the GIF still has white background in it after exporting! What am I missing here please help :( - UPDATE: Found the solution, the 'Matte' option on the right has to be set to NONE. I'm not sure why but this works for me

This is exactly what I've done before, but for some reason, however recently, it has been putting a faint grey background even though my frames are transparent in those exact settings and I can't understand why. Does anyone know what the MATTE setting is? Mine comes up with white and I'm wondering if that is what causing the light grey background.

Very good video! very detailed, only really 1 thing to point out, depending on the amount of frames and details in the video you might have to edit frame by frame when adding the "strokes" to your image. Other then that PERFECT video going through the steps slowly and detailed! thank you.

Im having trouble exporting. When I export, It keeps exporting as the optimized version of the gif, and this creates some sort of weird white border around the images. The original setting, doesn't have this border and looks just like the video, but PS won't allow me to export as original. Any ideas?

You have to turn off matte when exporting. I just had the same issue and all I did was toy with the settings.

This was great! However it wouldn't open up in photoshop and it took me like 6 hours to finally find a solution... You have to make sure in your security preferences (if using a mac) that in your security and privacy in your accessibility and disk permissions has photoshop in there. Works now :)

What worked for me was to, in Photoshop, set the export's Dither to "Diffusion Transparency Dither" and the matte to "Black". Though I don't know if it will then have a black outline if used on a white background.
