My sister homeschooled her daughter. My best friend homeschooled her children. The common denominator was that they all grew into high-performing, intelligent adults.

Anything parents can do at home to educate their children, will be 100 times better than what they will get in the school system. Education is about being with the child, getting to know the child as they develop, their moods, their thoughts, their anxieties, what makes brings them joy. So who better than the actual parents to educate their children! 🤗

Expecting our first child in a month and so excited to homeschool! My husband was and all his siblings are so strong in the Lord, well-rounded individuals who care about family and a godly heritage. All of our friends were all homeschooled or are still doing so. Glad I got rescued from CA to be around such wonderful families. I love hearing other mom’s ideas of their schedules, organization, routines, etc. “The 4-Hour School Day” book by Durenda Wilson is a wonderful resource for Christian homeschool moms in all stages. “Train your children up in the way they should go, so that when they are old, they will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Please be careful not to continue to teach the lies of the world when homeschooling. We do not live on a spinning ball that orbits the sun. On day 1 God created day and night before He created the sun and moon. On day 2 He created one thing- the firmament. (See KJV, NKJV and ASV) It is a solid barrier over our Earth because we are told it separates the waters above from the waters below. On day 4 He then made the sun, moon and stars and placed them WITHIN the firmament. Watch the sun and moon for confirmation, they are small and local- sometimes you can see them in front of the clouds. The Bible tells us the Earth does not move- that it has a foundation and pillars. Joshua bid the sun and moon to be still, not the Earth. Believe God, not man. Take ALL things captive to Christ!

the amount of attention, time, care and pure love poured into these children is phenomenal... children getting to grow up in a communicative, intentional home like this is one of the biggest testimonies of how God works... a family that not only understood that the biggest value in life being inner growth in wisdom and humility before God instead of a great career and developing a great persona but also puts the life of their children into such careful practice of this ... if the wealth being gathered here could be demonstrated physically, they are building a castle with a huge garden while most are left to their own devices and only manage to build a cabin

As a homeschooling family it is always encouraging to see how other families homeschool, so thank you for sharing 😍 I especially appreciated the part about connecting with your children, and how important encouragement is. One thing that really stood out for me was when Sarah spoke about what to do if the children are having a hard time. Sit down and talk with them, ask why they are having a hard time, figure out what is going on in their heart, and then pray for them and encourage them again. I think that was such beautiful advice, as well as when she said to invite Jesus into the struggles, to pray and read Scripture with your children and to remind them that God is always there for them. Thank you again for another encouraging interview 🙏 😍

Hi, thank you so much for that beautiful testimony. My husband and I got saved later in life. We had two children at the time, and had them in a Catholic school even though we were not Catholic. After we got saved the Lord convicted me of working outside the home. There was a lot happening in our new Christian walk. We transferred our two children to a Christian school. That did not work well, because the Lord had other plans for us. We lived in NYC at the time. We heard about homeschooling from a church family, and the rest is history. The Lord blessed us with two more children. Looking back twenty-five years, we feel so humbled and thankful to the Lord for all his provisions. We did not do everything perfect, but we were able to teach our children the fear of the Lord and his Word. We did move out of NYC to another state where we had more space to teach. Now, we are done homeschooling, but the Lord has put a burden for me to pray for those families that are still doing it. I used to compare myself with others, but learned that each family has different needs, and gifts. I would love to encourage any mom who needs prayer or encouragement. If we had to do it again, homeschooling would be our choice. Thanks again for sharing your testimony.

We can see the importance that Timothy's mother and grandmother had in his life. Their role in children's lives is so vital and it is indeed a sacrifice of love. It makes a HUGE difference in one's life growing up with such dedication. It's hard to measure. Paul speaks so much of the role of women in raising children and helping younger women in the faith. Keep it up, sisters! “I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also” (2 Timothy 1:5).

I admire Mom's who take control of their children and they are homeschooled. It is not easy because you are not only teaching but you are also responsible for running a household and sometimes problems happen. Wonderful to hear that your children are taught to read and write and most of all that Jesus is at the Center of their lives. They will grow up with love in their hearts and be equipped to take on the demands and responsibilities of adult life well. Thank you for such an interesting video!

Just to encourage every homeschool momma, I substitute taught in the public school for awhile and in our brief "training", we got paperwork stating that about 90% or more of school time is spent just refocusing the kids!!!! If we truly believe that God makes ALL things work together for our good, then, there are really no mistakes!!! Homeschooling in our culture and society is truly an act of faith more than anything! We've all been programmed the same way through public schools and it takes time to be renewed in the spirit of our minds!!! We are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us!!! ❤❤❤

Thank you for this video! I would be interested to know what sort of curriculum is used for the older children. Is the plan that they will master a state high school curriculum and then go on to college? As a university professor of 30+ years, I have had many homeschooled students go on to get advanced degrees. The most well educated had a free form homeschool that allowed them to take internships and get out into the world, rather than stay home as co-teachers to the little brothers and sisters. Of course it is also lovely to have helpful big brothers and sisters! I'd love a follow-up video about your plans for your older children. thank you!

spending 30-40 minutes a day with a sibling is not really coteaching as such. Its a lovely way of fostering a lifelong relationship. These kids are younger than 14 and as such are unable to spend much time outside of the home in a workplace due to laws regarding children in workplaces. There are many ways of preparing children for life only one route of which is advanced degrees. There are now multiple ways for children of various abilities to access High school level materials in a variety of formats. For instance, my daughter is presently studying for her International Baccalaureate through an online school, she has not done any internships, but quite a lot of voluntary work in various disciplines. But I can see each of my children will have their own route into their future that will have their abilities and talents at the centre, we will of course plan that route with them and not for them.

My son and his wife homeschooled their daughter for most of my granddaughter's grade school years until she was in 8th grade. Her homeschooling was very beneficial as she just completed her first year of high school with all A's and only 1 B for her final term. Both parents participated in her homeschooling as my son knew math very well and her mom was good in art and home economics. The other core subjects like reading, science, and social studies were mostly study courses and their daughter was an early reader so her comprehension was excellent. She adjusted very well to public school in her last 2 years in school, 8th and 9th grade. Very good video with such a well organized homeschool mom!

I homeschooled our daughter in kindergarten (and preschool) with Rod and Staff. I LOVED that curriculum for small children. .. I wasn't able to homeschool her after our 3rd child was born because our 2nd child has autism, and it was just way too much for me. It was SUCH a battle within me, but the Lord gave me peace about our local school for her, and she is now married and is a pastor along with her husband. They are beautiful together and praying for God to bless their womb. ❤️

In the Netherlands we have the right and freedom to run schools that are thematic It can be a specific kind of teaching but also a kind of religion. And we have this for many decades now. So we have the ability to send your childeren to a christian school where they get schooling in the cristian faith in your domination. We have catholic schools and protestant schools, pinkster schools ect. And often close to home. It is a blessing Because of that homeschooling is not very common over here . Praise God! Such a wonderful balance they have made and appreciate their efforts to love and raise children in the Lord. I was reminded of my parents, our mom used to help us with schoolwork and she would also read the Bible with us. Daddy would help us spiritually and teach us from the Bible.

Amen. I agree wholeheartedly with both ladies. Despite the struggle and time limits, above all my desire is that my children love the Lord and serve Him well.

My boys were home schooled. They were with us while we were trucking. They loved the "switched on schoolhouse" from alpha&omega publications❤

Lindsay you seem to keep looking more beautiful as time goes on - it must be the Light of Christ shining brighter as you grow in your intimacy with Jesus :) Sooo beautiful and radiant

Wonderful family with inspiring Godly people! I look back and wish I had homeschooled my three!! They were in school in the 70s thru the early 90s and our schools were good then, but in watching I think, there would have been so much I could have helped instill in them. But they all know the Lord, so I am thankful.

What a great interview. Thank you. Can you find out where they got the wooden kitchen set? Or perhaps it was handmade. Thank you for producing wholesome videos.

Thank you! We homeschool as well and love it. Highly recommend Tapestry of Grace history and literature. The Good and the Beautiful is Mormon so be cautious. We enjoyed their multi-age Constitution course but don’t care for the other subjects. IEW has an excellent multi-age writing course.

Let me edit: The Good and the Beautiful is written by a Mormon author. The doctrine is not taught according to my knowledge, but be aware. Also, for older students, it works very nicely to have them fill out a planner page every day and then they are responsible to complete their work list and check each item when complete. Or the parent can give them a daily checklist. It is good for older students to be given more autonomy over things such as the order of work completion. Older students can also benefit from access to some computer-based work. Computers are nice for things like foreign language (we use free DuoLingo). As math becomes more challenging, computer tutorials are nice. While using Saxon Math, we stream Saxon Teacher so that our teenagers can listen to the Algebra lesson explained as well as look up explanations to challenging problems. Older students also need more quiet and would probably benefit from being allowed to work in a quiet nook such as a different location than the noisy littles. But no matter how old they get, continue some shared reading with them and keep them helping their younger siblings. So important. A shared devotional time is nice, too.
