How do I make behavior packs compatible with each other? (Example java combat and java advancements)

There is no easy process for this other than observation. Look at the 2 packs and see if the same file exists in both, for example player.json. If that's the case then this is the conflict you need to resolve by merging the 2 files together. Depending on the changes it might not be possible but this is the only real way of doing it.

You can create a file using a 3rd party software but the easiest way is to create a text file and replace the .txt with .json

If you have made one and want to make adjustments you will need to remove the original files from the Behaviour packs folder and from the same folder for any world you attach it to. If you then re-import your pack and re-add it to your world it should work.

The only thing that stands out to me is the result section, you don't need the [ ] remove these. other than that it looks good.

Yes, in theory if you have a text editor and can access com.mojang folder then you should be able to create it yourself and copy the files over. I recommend using the developer behaviour packs folder if your testing :)

bruh why do you code behaviour packs in json language. Would be much easier with JavaScript

Because json is the default language for bedrock edition. While you can use Java script in bedrocks defunct script API you can’t use it for behaviour packs as far as I know, unless you know something I don’t :p

@@MRBBATES1 for me it doesnt make any sense coding behaviour packs in JSON. Json is a data transmitter language, while JavaScript is more of an interactive language to create/edit stuff.

I have never tried it on a console before they do the seem to me more limited than the desktop version. If you can I would recommend using a desktop / laptop to make packs with.

Is there anyone that can make a behavior pack that modifies zombies to actually break doors? The Zombie AI must have been nerfed or something since I last played. They rarely break doors now and always loiter around doing sweet nothing. It has really ruined my favorite aspect about this game. Being a map builder that focuses on Zombie maps, this is a major disadvantage. I just did a playtest after many hours of building and running command chains only to find zombies can no longer properly break doors. If anyone can make a pack that can remedy this, I can send them a free copy of the world I am working on. It's called Ghost Ship Medusa and is a multi-wave zombie Tower Defense game with classes (including a custom spell caster), mystery boxes, a currency system, and items that can be bought off the walls. It's set on a large Man 'O War-styled ship and has been a project I have been making and tweaking for years. I don't see the point in publicly releasing it or making anymore zombie maps if they no longer work as they used to :(

thats doable for sure, at the moment only 10% (ish) of zombies spawned can actually break doors. so its a very small % when you think of the amount of zombies that can / do spawn as they tend to spawn in herds. Is only a small change required, will take a look later as just finished work.

Well I played around with this and made it so all zombies can break doors, but they still don’t do it 🤷‍♂️ so I don’t know if there’s some other hard coded element that controls if/when/how, I made it so it takes 2 seconds to break and can do it in any game mode and still nothing happens. Not sure what other conditions need to be meet for it but will look into it

​@@MRBBATES1 Thank you for looking, I've been playing around with some mechanics in-game to see if I can make door breaking more frequent. It seems like they have nerfed it to 1 in 10 zombies since I last played, but also they frequently cancel the breaking animation at the very last stage, which is frustrating. I read regional difficulty and even lunar difficulty affect this mechanic now, and this seems to be true based on some testing I have done. Other map makers must have similar issues with this change, but I've not heard much about it on forums.

Yeah it’s definitely an odd one, having the ability alone is not enough for them to do it ,I cannot find any conditions around lunar and regional difficulty so I think these things maybe hard coded, If I do find anything tho I will let you know

Oh, you should have the built in file manager app. This should allow you to navigate to the com.Mojang folder on your iPhone , then you should be able to use a normal text editor to amend the json files.
