Hi Dr. Deutsch, we followed your tutorial and successfully set up the server-to-server Zoom app for Moodle. We would like to thank you for your excellent work! On the whole, I think we like the LTI external tool better. You just need to put one link on the course website and the instructor can schedule different Zoom class sessions under the same link. With the Zoom app, you have to set up a new link for each class session. With the LTI tool, you can choose a time zone when scheduling a Zoom meeting. This feature is missing in the Zoom app. Also, the Zoom app shows 24-hour military time, while the LTI tool shows 12-hour am/pm time. There does not seem to be an option in the setting to make changes. Or do we miss anything? On the whole, we do like the LTI external tool better. We are not sure why Zoom would stop supporting it.

@@NellieDeutsch Yes, I can see it. I have been using Zoom in Moodle for many years. The problem for me now is that in the setting, there are no fields for me to enter Account ID, Client ID and Secret ID. Only fields for API Key and API Secret. So strange?

@@jxw015 Remove the credentials that you have from the old system and refresh the page. You should then see the new credentials so you can add your Account ID, Client ID, and Secret ID.

Hi! Everything worked fine, I followed the entire procedure, but for a few days I have been receiving this error on Moodle: "Unable to find your account on Zoom. If you are using Zoom for the first time, you must activate your Zoom account by logging into . Once you've activated your Zoom account, reload this page and continue setting up your meeting. Else make sure your email on Zoom matches your email on this system." I followed the whole procedure again but the problem is not resolved. Some advice?

We used an admin account and the emails on both accounts are the same. On Moodle plugin page we also see the following error: "Connection status: Connection failed:An error occurred in the Zoom webservice". Do you have an idea? Thanks

That happens with Moodle updates. You will need to log into your ZOOM account and go into your Moodle account.

hello i am not sure why but my effort failed. I followed your steps and when I copied all the credemtials over and saved the Zoom plugin I received a message saying everything was successful but when i tried to add a zoom activity to a course it failed with an error so I tried again but if failed again. any suggestions?

@@randyfoster4895 Search for "ZOOM" in the admin search area and you will see it under the same place you added the new ZOOM info. It's just beneath it.

I've set up a app in Zoom to use Server to Server OAuth which shows a "Connection Status Working" message but when I try to add an Zoom activity to a course I immediately get this error: "Unable to find your account on Zoom. Else make sure your email on Zoom matches your email on this system." I've been using Zoom weekly for a couple of years with the JWT app but that went away last month. I am trying to get Server to Server OAuth to work and I am not sure how to verify my Zoom account is activated or which emails are compared in Zoom and Moodle. Zoom can't help me even though I am licensed on the Pro plan Sorry to be so long here but I don't know what to do.

Hello, I am happy to tell you I sorted out my problem and it was basically operator error. My users do not have permission to set up the zoom meeting activity. I have a user that I call Zoom Editor and this user is the only user that can set up a zoom meeting. I don't remember why I did that as it was about 6 years ago when i set it that way. tonight when I remembered this user i logged in as Zoom editor and it worked like is was supposed to. I apologize for using up your time thinking about and answering my questions.

That's unfortunate... What Moodle version are you using? Did you stop the old info from your ZOOM plugin? Are you using a single account? If so, are you the admin user of the paid account on ZOOM?
