Hi Very helpful information, I actually never heard of the Expression before, My husband just happened to see someone selling theirs on facebook and asked me about it.so i've been shopping around for one. I'm all into sublimation and never thought about vinyl. I had a cricut about five years ago and sold it after a month. so I WANT RO TRY AGAIN i think!

Good Morning thank you for this video. There are not many out there creating letters using the Cricut Expression. By chance would you use the same technique to create labels?
@ForeverMayClay3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching! I believe you totally could do so. I would agree that it would make it difficult to align without a sort of technology, but it's always great to try it out on regular paper and then go forward with label or stick paper.

You can! It just depends on the cartridge that you use. I know my fonts one has like bold and italic setting I can use as well.

oh my life thank you so much! you saved me! I might have to watch you while doing it, but you made it look super easy! can i use a regular iron with a steam function instead of getting the cricut one?
@ForeverMayClay2 жыл бұрын
Omg thank you for watching! I might have to do another one and make some crafts so people can follow along and yes definitely use a regular iron! You do not need the circut one. I just got it cause I wanted all the accessory and honestly a regular iron will probably be better!

For rhinestone magic flock which is pretty thick what blade size and pressure should I use ?
@ForeverMayClay3 жыл бұрын
Hi! I’m not sure what that material is but I’d say the highest and sharpest blade you have. So a deep cut blade on 6. And maybe use the multi cut option. I hope this helps!
@BravoMeek3 жыл бұрын
What setting should the blade be in ?
@ForeverMayClay3 жыл бұрын
Depends! I like to keep mine on 6 as it’s a thicker material. The higher the number, denser the material!

How can I make the letters be closer together in one word
@ForeverMayClay3 жыл бұрын
I’m actually unsure. I know on design space there’s an option but for the expression, it’s a little different. I would say you could individually place them as you need but it would take a lot longer... any luck?

I just got my grandmas cricut expression machine and I want to make stickers with it, but I am not sure how I am going to use the machine to cut out my designs.... can anyone help me? I am very new to this.
@ForeverMayClay3 жыл бұрын
I would love learn how to make stickers with the older machine. I learned with the air but not the legacy ones. Anyone have ideas?.
@MintStoney3 жыл бұрын
@@ForeverMayClay I thought about using printable vinyl paper and then using the cartridges my grandma gave me as the shape the sticker would be cut out in. I think text would be easy. I thought about drawing stickers by hand on card stock and using the cricut to cut it out and then using packing tape and double sided tape to make it a sticker. I was just wondering if there was a way the cricut expression could cut out the designs instead of me only being able to cut them out in circles, squares, and rectangles. I tried to see if any free software would work with it but design space and make it cut don't support cricut anymore. Other software I found either wanted me to pay or required me to down load a ton of different things.
@ForeverMayClay3 жыл бұрын
@@MintStoney I’ve never seen anyone make stickers with the cricut legacy machines! I feel like you totally could! Or cut them first and then design it. I haven’t had mine for a long time either so sorry I can’t more help. That sounds like it would definitely work!
@MintStoney3 жыл бұрын
@@ForeverMayClay cutting it first is such a good idea. Especially when I want to hand draw some stickers. I am also going to use some stamps and try to color those. I could cut something out first then glue a design on and use tape to make it a sticker. I wanted to also make car decals but that might be difficult unless I do just text. I think with car decals I'll just use printable vinyl paper and cut out the design by hand.
@thtskng39863 жыл бұрын
My vinyl came with a white paper on the back do you take it off and cut of cut with it on
@ForeverMayClay3 жыл бұрын
Is it premium vinyl or iron on. If it’s premium, cut on the shiny side and use a little weeder tool too pick off the access of the vinyl and then use transfer tape to transfer it to an image! If it’s iron on, make sure you cut it mirror and weed it, then just flip it over and iron it on!
@BravoMeek3 жыл бұрын
Hey how do I make it cut from Left to right ?

Hi there!!! Is there a way to use Cricut Design Space with my Cricut Expression???
@ForeverMayClay Жыл бұрын
Hi! Unfortunately I don’t think so as it’s only really compatible with the newer machines. I’ve seen some people use an older tool called Smart cuts? I think? The one uses the older cartridges for cutting.

@@ForeverMayClay Oh noes!!! So, the only way to use it would be using cartridges and that software called "Sure Cuts A Lot"?

I don’t think so unfortunately. You can hook it up but it used an older platform that’s not design space that I think is out of service now. It’s a little older.
