I always get confused or static when I try to integrate stepping with bounce. Then I'm thinking about it, and because of this I stop moving my upper body. Can you give some advise about this? Do you also already have some videos on improving movement quality / body control please :) been also working on upper body strength which results in me feeling like there's an additional weight on my legs which then results in a loss of mobility ( in my head lol)

About bounce is all about consistency the more u do it, the more comfortable u will get and the less weight u feel on ur legs, once the body is used to the bounce it starts balancing it self with your legs and eventually start rocking the body is any directions to support the foundation even more

Is it okay to practice hip hop in socks? Can someone who dances hip hop most of the time in socks achieve the same results as someone who wears sneakers?

Honestly I wouldn't know all i can say is that if you really feel the desire to dance hiphop with sucks only then do it long enough so you can make an informed decision weather or not it's something you want to keep on doing. As long as you're still respecting the foundations of the style with or without sneakers it doesn't matter in my opinion.
