I could not find what size hook you used. A 4 on dk made me struggle with the first two rows so I went to a 3.5 but that would make the sizes quite a bit smaller. It's a beautiful pattern. Thank you so much.xx
@meemamakes9 ай бұрын
It doesn’t matter much unless you are following the yarn requirements in the pattern and for hook size you are better to use the hook that gives the correct gauge, which may or may not be 4mm. So use whatever hook makes your hexagons 6.5inches across (from side to side not corner to corner). Hope this helps ❤️

In Rnd #5; why did you work 2dc, then the ch1 and sc to top of of beg ch-3 of rnd, at last corner? My question is mainly about, why the 2 dc in that last corner? I enlarged your work to check out the remaining ends of 6-8 & find that you only done 1 dc, ch 1, or the 1 dc, ch 2 in rnd 8. Would you mind clarifying this for me / us, please? Thank you so much. I certainly appreciate it.

What I’m not understanding is, once you make the invisible join you only have two top loops in that corner and my count comes to 95 not 96 sc stitches. Am I missing something since there should be 96?

Yes there should be 3sc in that corner. The chain that we turn into a sc, the first sc of the round and the last sc of the round. Are you missing one of those two st?

@meemamakesАй бұрын
Are you stitch counts correct? If you’re putting too many stitches it can ruffle as the circumference is too big relative to the diameter of the piece (hope that makes sense). The other reason could be that your natural tension makes your stitches shorter than mine, if this is the reason then you’ll need to block your hexagons with the advice in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKOwh4R9hs6EosUsi=YDD-4EPSEbkueYzn

Could you please add the UK stitch terms? You're using US terms, i don't know them.
@meemamakes Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comment. I have considered this as my tutorials are always US terms but I can read/write/teach crochet in UK terms. However when I surveyed my audience they overwhelmingly voted for me not to put UK terms up on screen as it’s confusing. The written pattern (that this tutorial is designed to be used alongside) is available in UK terms and contains full photo tutorials. If you are not willing to buy the pattern then these are the conversion of terms US vs UK Single crochet = double crochet Double crochet = treble crochet Treble cluster = double treble cluster I hope this helps!
