Your treble stitch technique at the end of the row to prevent gaps is brilliant. My scarves have looked so much better ever since I started using it. Thanks so much for this video!

My wife is HP fan. I want to make scarf like this for her. I am 32 old man and never do anything like this. I was a car mechanic, deliveryman, builder, pipeman. But crochet seems for me much harder than any of this jobs. Wish me luck.

Cute opening to your video. I think seeing the finished item in the beginning is good enough. I don't feel like it's necessary to have a final piece in a tutorial video when color changes and stitches used are shown :)

What size yarn did you use for this scarf and size hook? I am trying to create a Doctor Who scarf by crocheting.

TL;DR at the end I don't know if you have received an answer for this somewhere else, and I had the same question... Looking at the hook in the video i want to guess that it is a 4.5 or 5mm hook; I could be COMPLETELY wrong so don't take my word for it, but I figured that a guess would probably be better than nothing or at least a starting point to help you get working on your project... I live in a hot climate so our winters don't get too terribly cold, which means I wouldn't use a bulky yarn (they yarn I picked is a 4/medium) so I would go with the recommended hook size and start a little swatch to see how it looks and adjust the hook size from there... if you have relatively cold weather, maybe go with a 5 or 6/bulky yarn with the recommended hook size or larger; going larger with the hook will make the stitches larger which will leave your project breathable and not as hot as it would if you went with a smaller hook size that would close the stitches up where there are next to no breathable holes in the project.... I'm sorry if this is a lot to read, and feel free to ask questions if something I said doesn't make sense 😊 TL;DR: it looks like a 4.5 or 5mm hook in the video... I would personally choose the yarn i wanted to use and use the recommended hook size to do a swatch and go from there... The recommended hook size gives the stitches of the project a nice spacing for the yarn as a base thickness; going up hook sizes will give the project more breathability and is cooler, and going down in hook size will make the project warmer with less breathability.... breathability is just how much it allows air to pass through... Again, if this doesnt make sense then just ask questions and I'm sorry if this is a lot to read 😊
