Sorry this video came out late. I had a lot of issues while getting things ready... 1. The video was super long, and it took a while to record. It also hurt my arms and hands 2. My video camera's battery kept dying. I had to wait to recharge all of my spare batteries after I used all of them. That took a while too 3. Camera kept overheating 4. I had to mess with the camera angles a lot to try to get everything close and on camera while also not being so close that I'd hit the camera lens or being too high up that my arms would hurt... a lot. 5. Get video files moved onto computer. Storage is nearly filled. I have never filled up my storage before. Waste time trying to figure out what to do, researching external hard drives but knowing I don't have the money for them. Don't end up buying anything, and just continue work on the video 6. I wanted to step up my editing game and add motion graphics. Those took several days to make 7. School. Essays are fun 8. Tried to improve the audio by ordering a new mic. Finding said new mic took a few days of research. Ordered said mic, was told it would not ship until May because virus, so I recorded with my current mic. New mic shows up early... like way early... and it's not what I ordered. Had to wait a few days to figure out the issue and return it and find a new bundle. 9. Problems recording with current mic. I record in car. Neighbors are loud. I give up and go inside. Car noises... lots of them. Go to empty nearby parking lot. Less background noise, but extremely hot in car. Finally get everything recorded. Then, editing audio and syncing with the video takes time. No problems there, but it just does. 10. I wanted to play animal crossing and it was hard to resist that temptation sometimes. 11. Quarantine means everyone is home which means we watch stuff at night. I normally start work on my projects a bit late in the day. This results in me getting started late, then going down to watch movies or tv late at night with my family and not getting much done. I had to adjust to this. Now I start earlier. 12. Finally get video ready. Render it. It takes all day. Check after midnight, still not done but close. Go to sleep, wake up early, and... my computer didn't have the storage for the video. Need more storage, and to start over completely. 13. Waste a few days with the above knowledge trying to figure out whether to expand my internal storage or invest in an external hard drive, again. Still don't buy anything. Finally realize that I should just plug in a spare sd card just to get this thing rendered, because it's been too long. 14. Wait another half a day for this thing to render again, and finally check it after midnight. It is finished... Finally start uploading to youtube. 15. All of this made me more confused on what I needed to get done at certain points, and made me poorly prepared for today, the day of the upload. And that is the end of the saga. Making regular videos is way harder than I'd ever thought it would be. But it's definitely fun. Also I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do for the storage thing... I'm selling some stuff online and now I have some extra funds, so I can definitely afford to fix it. The problem has more to do with how fast it able to ship to my area.

Can I make a suggestion? I know how difficult it is when uploading those first few "new" KZbin videos.(I have some craft (paper) videos on KZbin, etc.) Prior to downloading future videos PLEASE make sure that your volume is turned up. Even if the volume is rather loud after the video(s) has been downloaded to You Tube, that's okay.....most people would much rather prefer the option of "turning" the volume down, rather than having to turn on the CC (close caption) button to READ through a video they can not hear. (This also could hurt your subscriber count if you download more videos that the volume isn't loud enough....and I really wouldn't want that to happen to someone just getting started with such amazing crochet videos! I hope your KZbin channel becomes a HUGE success!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying to improve the quality of my videos so this helps a lot. The video seems loud in my editor, but I do nothing to adjust it and then I suppose it's quiet on KZbin? I use headphones so that may affect it as well, and I'm really sensitive to noise. I'll look into whether the volume goes through changes with my editor, audacity, and KZbin. I also use closed captions on KZbin videos all the time so I understand the need for those. I'll try to fix this if at all possible. Thank you so much for the well-wish and please stay safe during these strange times!

I had trouble with the diamond stitch, but the bead stitch tutorial was good. Thanks; your hat is lovely.

Yay! I just added time stamps so you can skip to certain parts of the video since it's really long. If you need those, make sure you refresh the page and they should be there. Good luck, friend!

I want to suggest something to YOU and I hope that YOU do NOT take it the wrong way....when YOU are explaining what stitches to work on a given Row/Rnd, YOU tell US to pause the video but YOU keep on crocheting in a "fast speed", I think that in stead of showing that part, YOU should just go to the "last stitch" of that Row/Rnd and that would speed up the instructions and the video would NOT be so long!!! I have seen other crocheters do this and it does help speed up things, while we are waiting for YOU to start the next Row/Rnd. I hope YOU will take my suggestion into consideration...i just found your channel and I'm loving this hat but I do like to work at a faster speed/pace and all that waiting gets to be too much for ME! I can't wait to finish my Hat because it's going to be a "GIFT" for my Grandson's Girlfriend! 😊

@@maryevenegas2173 I agree. Also, there are better tutorials for the magic circle. This is a very pretty hat, though! Thanks for uploading the video!

This is the most complicated pattern I have ever come across. I think it is a very pretty hat. But I am having quite a bit trouble with it. Especially the diamond I know how to make the diamond stitch but I wish you were a little bit slower and more clear about the where to put the diamond stitch.

Its not the pattern it is the person she has no idea what she is doing she says to skip one stitch when doing the diamond stitch but she actually skips 2. Her yarn color and background colors are the same. Anyone with half a brain knows NOT to do a tutorial using white, black, or any very light or very dark color yarn because they are extremely difficult to see on camera. Most people have to have tons of light to see and work with these colors in person.
