Not sure what I'm doing wrong as I follow the pattern exactly but no matter what I do my dress comes put way bigger. I've changed my hook size and a baby dress comes out looking like the size for a 5 year old.

your patterns are so beautiful n easy, and you explain very well. only problem is the sizing. whenever I try making a dress for my baby, its always larger or smaller. please mention the yarn weight and guage for particular hook. so it will be more easy. thanks

Yes yarn size can definitely change size of project. I believe a DK weight is a 3 or 4 weight . Not exactly sure. In fact I fine if I follow her hook size and yarn exactly my dress is super large. 🤷🏼‍♀️ our tension is definitely different.
