In this video I demonstrate how to crochet a baby hat that will fit a 9-12 month old baby. If you want it smaller, use an H-5.00mm hook. If you want it larger, use a J-6.00mm hook

You can also just do less increase rows and that will make it smaller or do more increase rows to make it bigger

I used a 10-ply yarn which is Worsted Weight or Aran style yarn. You can find the specs of this yarn here: www.redheart.com/yarn/super-saver If you are not using Red Heart Yarns, you could go to YARNSUB.com and find a substitution yarn by typing in Red Heart Super Saver. Need to get the size chart or something that tells me how many rows for top of hat for head for a 3 yr old thru 12 yr old or do I just follow up with more increase rolls till I get the top size to fit head I'm guessing on that cuz they are for my grandchildren and all heads circumference is different. Also doing bottom will it effect it by making it smaller or harder to put on ? If so what do you suggest thank you wish me luck going to try one for my 1 yr old granddaughter first just worried about top part of beanie .
