How come are the double crochets NOT worked in the space between two sets of double crochet as easier to see.

This pattern is worked this way to keep the design of the blanket. If we add double crochets in the spaces between the double crochet sets, it will increase the blanket and the shape and the design will be different. I hope this helps. ❤️

You are working with 2 pieces of yarn? Did you double your yarn?

For the original blanket no I didn’t. I only did it for the tutorial because the yarn was too dark. But if you don’t have number 5 bulky yarn, you can substitute and use a different yarn. I hope this helps ❤️
