This is the ONLY Lover's Knot Shawl tutorial I could find on KZbin... I started on the first row, but then I was stumped on how to proceed to the next one. Thank you for making this video! :)

Thank you for this video. I've watched several others for the Lover's Knot but they all make it seem so complicated. I could follow this video and I'm excited to try it out. Thank you again!

Really great video, thank you! I think I will add different coloured stitch markers to the first knot and the left and right edges, to help me visualise where I am, as I can see me getting lost otherwise. Can't wait to try this X

Hi, I only know your name is Julia since I see other people posting it here, and it's nice to meet you! I've started this very lovely & unique shawl of yours in black, to match everything & wear day or night, but I don't appear to be getting past the part you did on my own very well. Do you have any tutorial that shows you making more of a complete shawl? Mine is ok looking but got a little off kilter after I started doing it by myself after your video left off. I do need some help getting mine in the right shape of the full size shawl, and I want a nice big one. I'm hot natured and this looks perfect for me to be warm but not hot!! I'm sadly without a camera or I'd show you what I have done so far. I plan to keep working on it but when my loving husband, who loves all of my work, curiously & innocently asked me what is that bunch of dark knots, um, well, I thought I'd better ask for help! :) I want a ladies "full" size shawl just to pull around my arms and shoulders really good, not to be fully open in the front but not too close like coat of course. Can you help me at all? Thx!

I think that this was a good video and I liked your simple diagram. But I'm begging you to reconsider marking the diagram with where your initial knot is. I love this design and your simple way of explaining it is great, but since I tend to flip things backwards and upside down, if only I could have a way to "orient" my work each time, I bet I could tackle this beautiful project with only minor fear! Knowing me, I would mark in the the boxes, but, I need to get my orientation straight, so I'm not working from the top bottom, sideways etc. Your consideration for helping me mark the tail, would be so greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

How is this big enough to be a shawl?
@Woolpedia-Kanal9 жыл бұрын
+Donna Tinus You decide when it is big enough. This is a pattern.
@donnatinus96589 жыл бұрын
I must have missed that part in the video. I don't remember seeing anything about continuing on, or how to continue to make it bigger. At the end of the video, I just saw where she said , just cut the yarn and sew in the ends and "that's it".
@Woolpedia-Kanal9 жыл бұрын
+Donna Tinus Dear Donna, I told this at minute 8. Before I explained the pattern by drawing the next steps.

I am disapointed .I know the soloman Knot. i just have never done the trangle except starting at the other end and decreasing on the way to the point .You talk fast ,you crocett fast .even pausing the vidio over and over i could not keep up I'm a Grandma with ADD .I love this stitch when you said it was so easy .I felt like an idiot and wanted to sit down and cry! I can't read a pattern but I can usualy look at something and see how to do it.I'm Impressed with your crochett. but now I'm Depressed.
@watchgoose7 жыл бұрын
Do you need it in a triangle shape? If not, then just do what you know. ADD is tough. Or go ahead an do a SMALL sample the way you are thinking, starting at the long side and decreasing. A small sample will tell you if you are on the right track. Good luck!
