Your video is perfect. I can see and understand your stitches. You go at the right speed to work with you. See the difficult parts you work through let's me know I am doing it right. Thank you. Looks difficult but so easy. Basic stitches make something so pretty. Thank you.

Loved this pattern! I made a big one for our family room in the exact yarn you used. Then I made a baby one in a ombre pink with a much smaller hook so there weren't quite so many places for baby fingers to get tangled. Thanks for sharing this pattern.

this looks like just what I need for a batch of self striping yarn I plan to work up. Colorway is black/3 grays/white. It is a worsted (4) weight. Hopefully it will work up well using this stitch. This is an excellent tutorial. PSA: I recently discovered we can slow the speed on these videos. That is a huge help!!!

How do you slow the speed of the videos?

Hit the little gear at the bottom and you can change the playback speed.

Beautiful! In the sample here; you chained 20 then you said you end up with 19 and in the blanket you end up with 99. In the swatch, you keep 19 all the time ( plus the one you have in the hook, but you work on 19 ??

Hey I have a question 100 chains it’s for the small one or the big blanket thanks ❤
@lovelifeyarn Жыл бұрын
This works for either. For the smaller size the 100 chains is the longer side, and for the larger size keep working until the 100 chains is the shorter side.

Can this pattern include color changes?
@lovelifeyarn Жыл бұрын
It can but the nature of the front post treble crochet will be a little bit noticeable since you use double crochet for the wrong side and a combination of single crochet and front post treble 2 together to create the diamond pattern, reaching down into the rows below.

Is it multiples of 4 + 3 or multiples of 4+3 for each multiple like is it 16+3 or is it like 16+6?
@lovelifeyarn2 жыл бұрын
This is a multiple of 4 stitches plus 3, but you will need one for the turning chain so chain in multiples of 4.

AT THE START OF ROW 2, WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE STITCH THAT YOU DID AS OPPOSED TO CHAINING 2,OR 3?
@lovelifeyarnАй бұрын
Hi! The method I always use in my videos for starting a row of double crochet is called the Chainless Double Crochet.

Thanks for your video! I'm trying to figure a couple of things out on it. After you do the front post stitch and start doing the single crochet behind them, why do you skip one chain? Or are you actually skipping the one that already has a stitch coming out of it?
@lovelifeyarn2 жыл бұрын
You skip one because the post stitches take up the space of that one stitch. They aren't directly attached to it, since they are working around the posts of other stitches, but if you sc behind it you would add one stitch for every post stitch. I hope that makes sense! :)
@AiT8Keys12 жыл бұрын
Ok so I should not be having a gap in the single crochet then right? Because the stitch I skipped looks like a big long chain loop at the top compared to the rest of the chain loops at the top.
@lovelifeyarn2 жыл бұрын
Yes that's normal if you're talking about the top of your fptr2tog. That large loop will be grabbed by the post stitches in the next right side row. I know it looks a bit weird but mine was that way, too.
@AiT8Keys12 жыл бұрын
@@lovelifeyarn I've finished that first row for starting the diamond pattern. However, when I got to the end, I had to shorten one diamond so it wouldn't be right at the end... so instead of skipping three,I had to skip two. And I can't figure out why the end of the row is wavy looking, like uneven. I may need to frog it all??
@lovelifeyarn2 жыл бұрын
Some people have found that they need an extra stitch at the end to make it look more even. I'm not sure why it ends up that way, but try working one extra stitch and work a sc into it on right side rows and a dc when you work the wrong side rows (the turning ch will count) and see if that helps make it look more even.
@evelynreyes31392 жыл бұрын
Is the multiple still 4+3 is I’m using chain-less foundation stitches?
@lovelifeyarn2 жыл бұрын
No, the +3 is for the turning ch so you wouldn't need these. :)

Are you aware that the printed pattern says to chain 3 at the beginning of the double crochet row but the video says to chain 2?
@lovelifeyarn3 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that. I always chain 3 for a double crochet, but I know some people use the chain 2.
@darkreligio812825 күн бұрын
Why is it so flat on the right side
@lovelifeyarn25 күн бұрын
I'm not sure why it does that, but when one of my readers tried adding another plain stitch on the left side it works out to look more even. If you're going to add a border it doesn't matter, but if you aren't you might want to add the extra stitch that will just be a sc or dc depending on the row.
