for anyone lazy like me, here's the whole pattern; with yellow yarn R1. 6sc into MR R2. 6inc *6 [12] R3. (sc, inc) *6 [18] R4. (sc, inc, sc) *6 [24] R5. - R6. 24sc (2 rows) sl st and fasten off. with white yarn R1. 6sc into MR R2. 6inc *6 [12] R3. (sc, inc) *6 [18] R4. (sc, inc, sc) *6 [24] R5. (3sc, inc) *6 [30] R6. (2sc, inc, 2sc) *6 [36] R7. (dc-inc) *4, 4sc, (dc-inc) *4, 3sc, (dc-inc) *3, 3sc, (dc-inc) *5, 3sc, (dc-inc) *3, 4sc [55] R8. 55sc all around sl st and fasten off. assembly: stuff and sew on yolk part in the middle of eggwhite.

I'm a beginner this is my first time to follow a pattern that joints and starts with a ch for a new round is it common to do this or is it specifically for this pattern? edit: is it fine to not do this?

I've it both with and without, neither is wrong just different. Doing it without is called continuous spiral and doing it with is called joined. Joined is good if you easily lose your place and don't mind a minor seam. Continuous spiral has no seam but if I lose my place I pretty much have to start over
