How did you increase with this stitch?

I would increase at the ends by adding chains at the end of the row and then starting the herringbone stitch on top of those chains in the next row. Increasing in the middle of a row with this stitch would mess up the look of the herringbone. The ends may look very rigid though if done that way, so I would suggest crocheting a border around the finished work to make it smoother. Hope this helps!

are there versions in Herringbone? coz I've learnt a very different one🤔

Yes there is! This one is the single crochet version but I’ve seen other versions made with half double crochet and double crochet as well. Hope this helps!
