I started with the fins just to make sure I could get them right as the top part would be doable, this is the BEST tutorial in crochet that I've ever follow, and I appreciate that you put in words what you were doing as well as speaking as I'm hard of hearing and something that captions don't help, but the words were perfect! I did the fins!! Thank you!!!

I used 2 colours - white as my primary, gold for highlights. White was about 1.5 yarn balls of 50g, needle size 6. Gold about 1 yarn ball. I can't get 27 hdc with my foundation row of 28. Is it 29 chains than hdc in 3 Rd from hook. Thank you for your help. Cute mermaid. I really want to make this
