join the motifs diagonally at the picots , that is what worked for me and turned out really nice and since i used a finer thread and smaller hook i had to crochet 4 motifs across both front and back and the sleeve's only needed two motifs , one front and one on the back, and the border you can do something simple or fancy

figured out how to join motifs finally. The English translation is misleading so its best to look at what she does on the video. Its basically in the seventh round, do one picot/loop as before, chain 14, slip stitch to the loop just made in the same motif, then also to the two in the adjoining motif, then continue making loop with chain 7, attach to the 7th chain of the chain 14 then chain 6 and slip stitch to the next arch. So for the first join, it will be three loops to join (2 on the adjoining, one on the same ) then continue joining the chains until you get to the next set of loops. Hope this helps.

Marlene Craigie I’ll have a go at joining folllowing your instructions. Is this how you add subsequent motifs? First motif full 7 rounds 2nd and subsequent motifs six rounds with a start of the the 1st picot then join to next motif. ?

So there's 2 loops per corner so when joining do you make an extra loop from the chain 14? Meaning there's 3 on one side and 2 on the other motif that you join??? This is really confusing, where so you do the ch14

Pattern is lovely but so so confusing joining the motifs I've gone between video and pattern that I purchased and not any clearer I now have 28 motifs that can't join not great

Need to omit 7th row. I did. Then turn 7th row into own chained row (square). I did. 3 sl st into next arc. Chain 7, sl st nt arc, chain 7, sl st next arc, chain 9(eg corner), sl st into next arc. Chain 7, sl st into next arc, repeat over next 3 arcs, then chain 9, sl st into next arc. When you do the last corner, you will only have 2 arcs left to chain. You will have started the row with first 2 ,7 chain arcs. Then when you repeat this process to the end. Pull your motif you can see the squares shape. Do what suits you. Then when you make the next motif get to end of row 6. Joining should be easier as you chain one side of the 7th row together with 1st motif to the 1st corner. Then continue finishing your 7th row to end. Make your next motif. I hope this helps people get the idea what you can do for 7th row. I just made mine up. Also use your own dress or top as a guide of how to keep to measurements for width and length. Sleeves etc.
