Thank you for the pattern! I just made my first one with a caron cotton cake as a swim cover up for sunny days at the river, and it turned out great even with the adjustments I made. (I wanted the yarn's stripes to go horizontal and didn't need the sleeves as long so I worked from the bottom up) Your pattern was so easy to follow and leaves room for customizing it; I can't wait to make more in other yarns!

I have a question, I would love to make this for my baby granddaughter. She is three months old and about 10 pounds. I know I can experiment with size but I was wondering if you know how big I should make the panels for her. We are doing family photos and we have an accent color so I thought this would be fun. What do you think?

@Pasos4me6 жыл бұрын
It would be very helpful to know what size (in inches) your individual panels are. It would be a “guide” because then we could measure to see if the garment would fit. Since some crochet tighter than others, we could adjust accordingly....
@madamc34586 жыл бұрын
Hi Jilly, the pattern states that 28 rows (for regular size) would measure 60" (same in all sizes) and 28 rows measure 24".

As a number of people have commented/asked, what are the approximate measurements of the panels? I am thinking maybe 20"x 40"... I've been trying to guestimate as you place your hands flat... It would be nice to have some idea...
@melodykishimoto47737 жыл бұрын
Your panels are the same size. That is not what you stated in the beginning. One panel is wider than the other. Can not see which panel is which.

one size mentioned is for a larger person the smaler size is for smaller person such as petite you can try which size would fit you best

how could I make this longer?
@DaisyDel7 жыл бұрын
To make longer, just add more chains stitches to your starting chain. No one can tell you an exact number since that depends on your gauge, yarn and hook you use, as well as your body size. Easiest way to get the length you want, chain way more than the pattern says, (100+ ch) then do row one. As you're getting finished with row one, find the middle point, drape the row on your shoulder so that half is on your back and half is draped along your front. If you're happy with the length, then use that count of DC, if too long undo some. If still too short, start again, with more chains stitches.

I did EXACTLY as the pattern instructed but what I ended up with would fit a sumo wrestler! May I ask what size hook was used in the blue kimono and what weight yarn, please? Thank you.
@sherit85945 жыл бұрын
On her page she says she used a 10mm hook. Although looking closer at this project she's putting together it doesn't look like that LARGE of a hook was used. I won't be doing her projects. Main reason is her SIZING IS WAY OFF. I watched 2 other videos where she claims the small & Med. is an 82 chain no way that's a small in the round.
@phoenixofthegraveyard3 жыл бұрын
@@sherit8594 I just had this problem. Made the large size thinking "yass! large and comfy" and it looks like a potato. Not a good result at all. It doesn't seem to be a flattering design on a person without being neatly tucked and folded on a person, not for casual wear outside of styled pictures. ugh.
@lizs87116 жыл бұрын
This here didn't work out for me even though I made the tall and curvy one and I'm 5'9 and I chained 88 and it turned out to be for a child, so if your tall like me I would double the length like chain 176 to get where you want it....
