I’m smitten with this pattern!! I chose my yarn colors today and made it to row 6 so far by switching between the written directions I purchased from your Etsy shop and this video 😂 I love this pattern because the first one I learned was a shell pattern blanket so this feels familiar and is simple to follow with beautiful results! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous pattern!

I have about 18” of my own similar blanket done so far.. but using just the rows of plain block stitches . I am alternating various shades of blues and muted greens ( “Ocean “ colors) . And I am making ming plenty big enough for a double bed size . With 6 “ overlap on all sides. I plan to also put a nice 3” flat border all around . Works up quickly and doesn’t seem to be working up into an overly heavy fabric.. I an enjoying it and have 79 block rows to go! Maybe I’ll be finished by Winter starting! A couple of crochet tips I use- i use a safety pin or bobby pin as a stitch marker .. and I also keep a large container of corn starch baby powder on hand to use on my hands and hook as needed to help things slide easily! I love the lavender scent…

These colors are so gorgeous! I love your tutorials so much! As a newbie to crochet, your channel is one of my favorites. Your color choices and instructions make learning new patterns fun and they feel so much more doable than just reading instructions filled with abbreviations that feel like trying to decipher a different language. Thank you for your tutorials and beautiful projects!

when using the knot, finish the last stitch then pop a stitch marker through the yarn at that point - that's where the knot should be tightened once you rip the stitch out, to get the colour change where you want it

Oh my goodness Dani, this is STUNNING! I will need to check out the cloud blanket, and some more of your videos. I haven't been doing crochet in about a year, and haven't done any knitting in many years, so it would be nice to get back into it again. Thank you for all of your hard work and for your kindness! Hi! If we are making a larger blanket than this one, would we just restart the pattern after a row 103?

I love this pattern, it works up beautifully, but I am having difficulty with setup row 4 and repeat row 9 and keeping the stitch count. After completing row 8, I have 48 spaces between the clusters. So row 9 = 48 spaces x 3 sts in each space = 144 sts. Add the 2 sts at each end and you get 148 not 149. I have checked and double checked that the stitch count in all previous rows is 149. But every row 9, I end up with 148. I've just been adding a 2nd DC in the last space before DC into the last stitch to get 149. Is there something I am missing, or is the pattern math not correct? I am marking my 2nd chain and all other rows are working fine. It's just row 9 where the count is off.

Hello! I have a question about the picot border. When you're making it you tell us to single crochet back into the same stitch, but when you demonstrate it it looks like you're single crocheting into the next stitch. Could you clarify that? This is such a lovely blanket and stitch pattern, thank you so much for sharing it with us. 😍
@CJDesignblog7 ай бұрын
It might look like I’m crocheting into the next stitch but I’m not :) both single crochet go into the same stitch 😊

Would this look ok if I used only a yarn that changed color on its own? And if so how many skeins would I need? I want to do it this way but I can't afford that much yarn 😢
@AshleeMcStoots6 ай бұрын
Could I use a different kind of yarn? I bought the loops and thread brand. It’s the chenille home slim polyester. I know there’s a difference in the size but I was wondering if it would still turn out roght

I’m on row six and somehow ended up with 155 stitches. Looks like I’m adding one every row. How do I salvage this? 😢 do I frog it back and start over?

So I think this is stunning, I have a question. I picked 8 colors. The reason being is that I matched the colors of my friends pup that passed away. And this dog loved the river so much and she would just lay on the riverbed neck deep and would just lay there. She loved the river. I think this would be perfect as a gift for her. But how can I incorporate all 8 colors? I am not that experienced. Thank you in advance. ❤
@jessicabernal57982 ай бұрын
Instead of going back to the 1st color after the 5th, just continue with all 8 colors before starting over again!

Does anyone know of a good wool alternative for this in the UK? I can't seem to find the Lion Brand Wool Ease in the same weight as the tutorial
@jilltunnicliffe42277 ай бұрын
Hi, any Aran weight yarn would work, worsted in the USA is more or less the same as Aran in UK. James C Brett, Stylecraft, King Cole etc. all are available at Wool Warehouse 😊

Beginner here, I love this blanket but would rather not join colors every row, I like sewing in ends better can you do a sample block and show how to finish rows and change colors by cutting and adding colors with the idea of sewing in ends
