I made this lovely topper. It's really nice to be able to switch out towels. I love the button front towel hangers, however, I have knob drawer pulls. So I created a skip stich opening on the back side in order to hang the towel. This way I can hang the towel and still have the button front. It makes for a nice either/or topper. Thank you for sharing your designs, tips and talent.

I LOVE this pattern! This is so much easier than sewing onto or crocheting into the towel! I did two alterations. I found, at my gauge, the chain 15 loop to be too small. I chained 20 and then single crochet 28 onto the chain - the extra single crochets seem to make the loop more robust and help it hold it's shape better. The second alteration is I continued the increases for one more row, working the row as chain 3, double crochet into same stitch, double crochet 7, 2 double crochet in the next stitch, repeating that around. I then worked an open border of *2 dc, chain 2, skip 2.

I think this pattern is much prettier and practical than the one from years ago when the towel was cut in half and the crochet was done into the towel itself. I am going to make a few tonight!

Well this is genius! I love this so much more than crocheting into the towel. You can easily wash the towel and not "fuzz up" the crochet! Thank you!

Thank you for this pattern! I have not been brave enough to add crochet to a towel and I don't like using rings. I can make one of these in about an hour. I have ides for different colors, Christmas, Halloween, etc.! I have a question about the pattern. Do the 32 rows include the first 5 rows or after the 5 rows?
@ArmchairChef3 жыл бұрын
I want to make this TT with Red Heart Strata that is considered bulky 5, and an 8-9mm hook. I'm guessing that i will have to just eyeball these instructions to get mine the correct size. I hate poking holes in the towel, it's way more versatile as a gift to do this topper with a few coordinating towels.
