I lost 2 fingertips on my yarn holding hand 2 weeks ago and the bandages are coming off this weekend. All the other one-handed videos were dominant hand solutions, so while inspirational, they didn't solve my conundrum. The English knitting style crochet method might work, but I was looking for something more focused on a yarn holding solution (aside from a system of levers and pulleys, lol). I've been crocheting for 15 years and want to adjust what i already do rather than learn a whole new method. I would have liked to see some rows being put on because I'm having a hard time visualizing that, but this is a great start, so thank you! 😊

My sister got her left hand amputated due to a car accident about a year ago and she had always wanted to learn how to crochet. I sent her this video and it was so helpful, thank you!

You are an absolute inspiration. The fact that you would put these videos up here and show other people how to do what you have achieved is just a really special, amazing thing. I found you for another crochet thing, but I didn't even realize that you had the one arm situation because I just was watching and learning with the other that you were doing. Bravo, keep going, don't let anything stop you!

I’ve been trying to find ways to crochet as a congenital amputee, but nothing really worked because of my arm length, until I found your video. Thank you so so much for sharing, it’s such a joy!!

I’ve been looking everywhere trying to figure out how to crochet as an upper limb congenital amputee. Your arm is the same exact length as mine, and the technique you use makes so much sense. Big ups for figuring out a way to do it, and thanks for sharing ❤

I've been missing crocheting because I can't use my left hand. This is the best video I have seen about how to crochet with one hand. The other videos I've seen have the crochet hook mounted in a permanent position. Using your idea, I can hold the piece I'm crocheting next to my knee like you demonstrated. I just tried it! Yay!!! Great video Julia! Thank you so much! 🙂

I found your excellent dollhouse rug video and ended up subscribing. You are more accomplished at crafting, and, in fact most things, with one hand, than I am with two. Great content I'm loving it! Crochet is something girls of my age (granny aged) had to do at school, boys had wood, metalwork and technical drawing and girls had Cooking, home economics and needlework, this was in the 1960s. I have always been able to do it but my tension is a bit moody and I think I need to try a bit harder after seeing you do crochet. I do love it because its super relaxing and you can make things for your miniatures. Thank you again for your great content! From the little I have seen of you, I dont think there are many things that you havent figured out how to do. I get the feeling that sentence was a bit odd. I mean to say you seem like the kind of person who doesnt give up easily which is a wonderful trait to have going into adulthood. I wish you all the best and look forward to more videos.

This is awesome!! I have a patient Who just had a stroke and her left arm is paralyzed and she can’t crochet any more At least not at this time She is also blind so learning how to crochet with one hard is extra challenging Because she “ sees” the stitch and pattern she is making with one hand as she crochets with the other If you or anyone has any ideas for me to help her crochet Let me know❤

Im not an amputee, and I don’t have any problems with my hands or arms, but I really wanted to see how to do this just in case, if I end up breaking something or worse, or if I need to teach crochet to someone who only has use in one arm/hand
