Thanks Darlene, very helpful points. I've heard mention that you should crop before editing as cropping changes the histogram, do you have a preferred work flow?

What do you suggest for keeping straight lines symmetrical? Whenever I photograph signs or a building wall, there are lines that I cannot make straight by cropping. Sometimes there are multiple lines going at different angles.

Use the distortion correction tool for that. Is also in the crop tool

I wanted to know if the cropping on a Panasonic camera is the same method as on the Olympus cameras that give you certain sizes of rectangle frames to be placed for your cropped image. I don’t care for the Olympus method which isn’t flexible although I like their colours.
