Bubble pot control just won me 2nd in a MMT. Calling on bubble is fine. Also, I noticed 3 people seemed scared of position and abused it with several ALL-INs and raises. Thanks JL - wish I had found the coaching sooner.

This was a great review of the things I have learned the last two years after I joined Pokercoaching. It is organized in a "start of tournament to finish of tournament" format and tells you what you should be thinking at each stage. The section on sector play, 1-5, after the bubble bursts is very valuable in good advice of what to be thinking in regards to strategy. I am saving this to my favorites list and I will review it monthly for the next six months to cement it into my hard, stubborn head. Great job Lexi.

Jonathan - I could’ve sworn I’ve heard you say not to focus too hard on the bubble. Yes, if you’re short stacked near the bubble definitely play slow and conservatively. But haven’t you said if you’re a medium stack it’s a great opportunity to be aggressive and increase your chances of winning the tournament while others play tight? Lexy advises to do that only if you’re the big stack.

I really enjoyed this presentation. Before I retired I was a Systems Engineer Trainer (teacher). Teaching is not for everyone, it takes a lot of skill as well as being as much of an expert as you can of the subject matter. The ability to make the complex simpler is an art for sure. Lexy did a great job, I learned some things I had never thought of, which is always COOL!!! I can't wait to watch more of her presentations.

Nice Video! I have a question thoough...when does the middle stage kick in? I understand it´s sometime before the bubble but when exactly? Does my number of bb play a part in this, or is it the number of players left in the tourney before the bubble?

One aspect of "skill edge" is winning pots when you are behind. What are the best strategies for this? Raising flop on dry boards? Raising turn on scare cards after calling f;op ? Repping draws that come in?[ What is the best strategy? Other aspects of skill edge: 1. Hand reading: Putting them on a range and extracting maximum, or losing minimum. 2. Player specific exploits based on range and VPIP 3. Tells, especially betting and timing? 4. Navigating multiway pots

25-40bb is more incentivized to play back at the loose aggro big stack compared to sub 20bb stack because doubling to 50-80bb is much better for future game/post bubble than doubling to 20-40bb and risking ITM.

Hi @LexyGavin. Your videos are incredibly helpful for me. You do a great job of explaining things. QUESTION: I'm having trouble understanding 'The Bubble". I know that there is a bubble towards end of the tourney when near the placing and taking home money, BUT, in this video from about 10:30 to 12:30, you talk about bubbles. Do you mean the 'BUBBLE' for each pot? Does anyone refer to that as 'The bubble'? Hopefully you or Johnathan or someone more knowledgeable that I can answer soon - I have Tournament Tonight!! 😎

No, it s just the Bubble, when the next player is out you re in the Money. thats usually the point where everyone tightens up and big stacks try to force all-in situations with small stacks even more.

I liked it very much Lexy great info, all I play is tourneys all day every day. You all know the site with the moto never lose a dime playing poker. I did pay the first month membership fee. Since then, I win enough money each month to cover next three months. I am slowly growing a nice bankroll. Feild have anywhere from 100- 2000 players you can get a lot of practice. for very low cost. I only pay for VIP not diamond. mostly rec players who punt there stacks before firdt break. GL all at the tables

Poker is poker. A long time ago when blackjack was the game when I was new to gambling. I did well until I learned what you’re “suppose to do.” I kinda feel that as I’m watching Hold em videos. I’ve played in only maybe ten tournaments. I won the first one I ever played. I’ve of course busted early but only twice. The other 7 times I’ve finished in the top ten with three of those in the top four. Not braggin. I NEVER even looked at what position I’ve been in hands. How crazy is that. Win at Hold em without ANY concern about my position. True story. Maybe in five years that will be the new way to play. They say it’s changing all the time.

Right before the money payout. For example, if you're in a tournament and they only pay the top 9 players and you finish in 10th, you're on the "bubble".

If you’re a solid poker player, you’ll do well in smaller buy in tournaments because a lot of these players are just not very good at poker and/or not very good at tournaments. Higher buy in tournaments like in a tournament series, there are more of the better tournament and poker players, so good luck with that.

When I play in tournaments, I try to hold on to my chips while I make chips from other players long enough to leave me the last one in. It’s been my best strat so far. Feel free to use it everyone! I’m a giving person so your thanks are more than enough!

I can't play any better. I get all in best hand and opponent hits 2 outer on river. I flip sets and opponent flops higher sets. My pocket aces ALWAYS get beaten by K10 offsuit when opponent gets 9 8 7 6 run out. My pocket Ks always get called and beaten by A 6 offsuit. I'm cursed. Every hand I lose would be on a pros "bad beats" video. Luck is a real thing and so is bad luck. Some of us just shouldn't play.
