How to Culture Microworms. NO yeast: Banana worms, Walter worms, Microworms.

Micro worms are my go-to food for fry as they are just so much easier to keep than baby brine shrimp and once the culture is established it keeps going for as long as you feed it, always being available for feeding to fry.
Do not use yeast in this culture is it can produce alcohol if it ferments with sugars from the bacteria - which will kill of your worms.

I cultured microworms in instant mash, rolled oats and readybrek. Boiled water was used for all and were tried with yeast and without. By far the readybrek and yeats was the best. Massive numbers within a couple of days. I start a new culture every few weeks. Also, i just swipe them out with my finger with no problems to the fish.

Awesome! Have you tried using moss tree as your substrate? You only need to cover them in yogurt... Collect the moss (with the bark), place it in a small container, cover it with yogurt but not completely, place it under your window... After a while should be full of worms.

Microworms are much smaller. White worms normally need to be kept in a soil type substrate, in the dark at cool temperatures

Always do two cultures incase one stalls or gets moldy. I've been keeping microworms for a few years now
