How can I get this solution? I love in Colombia. My wife got sick yesterday and I'm sure my community will use it

This is a great step forward! I learned about this method about 10 years ago at uni Melb. Good to see it being more widely implemented.

Is this bacteria "programmable? Because in my country, mosquitoes carrying the Wolbachia bacteria help combat dengue fever not just by reducing the spread of the virus, but also not being able to breed. These mosquitoes are male mosquitoes, bred in a laboratory and released into the wild when ready, that when they mate with female mosquitoes, the eggs do not hatch, thereby reducing the overall mosquito population. With a lower mosquito population, you not only reduce the number of Aedes-virus carrier, but also other viruses that mosquitoes may carry.

@@MoralScienceEducation mostly people get dengue deaseas are those who sleep in the morning. Aedes aegypti mosquitos active in the morning. When you sleep, your immune system is drop. That's a perfect combination to get the diaseas if you sleep in the morning. If you wake, there will be better chance to not get diaseas because your immune system protect you better.

@@alpineginza7786 That will be illuminating for those who did not get it yet. As for me, it happened years ago when I went on a trip to serve on a project for humanity🙏

Thank you so much for addressing a topic which affects many lives especially in poorer nations in Asia. May a lasting solution be found🙏Having overcome dengue twice and with relative ease, I I thank the knowledgeable doctors and staff, a regular yoga practice supported by natural health supplements, and thorough mosquito management🧘♀️❤️🕊️

Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should

If it prevents death by dengue fever, why do you think they shouldn't?

If hospitals become over run with sick patients, people will die. Not even a doctor can save his own life, even he needs the help of a medical professional in an emergency.

What does the illustrious WHO specialists say? Or do they not get asked these days. 🤔🤔 Oops! My bad, here we go. 5:15 BUT! If viro-science is that clever, why don't they put their heads together & invent a virus that kills all mosquitos? Forever! You know, breed some handsome looking insects that shoot blanks! 👍 Even His Holiness, The Dalai Lama, lover of all creatures, does not know why mosquitos were put on Earth nor what they are good for.

Because mosquitos are also a part of the ecosystem and serve as food for other insects and animals

Mosquitos that 'shoot blanks' can not reproduce, so they won't replace anything. Mosquitos that can reproduce, but can't carry virus/disease, is the aim.
