This sounds confusing, why not use a regular flat iron? What makes your guy’s tool better than a regular one where you can curl either way? A regular one is easier to use, give same or better results and is more economical.

I love the way my hot curls on the left side when the iron is upside down. When I’m doing the right side of my hair the curls are never as tight or pretty. Going to try to do the right side with my left hand with the iron upside down and see what that gets me.

Hello Jamie! Do not so the right side with your left hand upside down. That is not the correct technique. We always want you to use your right hand and on the right side your cord end stays down. Makes sure to tip the top of the iron slightly to the mirror (the side where the cord isn't attached) then push in to the face and forward to the mirror slowly.
