I've made about 30 model cars and I've always thrown my own little customization on them, but I never knew how to make fenders. Thanks for the tutorial! I plan to start making more models this year and I'll use this video when I do!

Interesting process and you seem to know it well.👍 What type of glue do you recommend for attaching the thin aluminum to the wheel arches - something that will hold firm during the shaping process yet detach easily when done? Did you experiment with very thin sheet styrene rather than aluminum for the wheel arches? Have you seen the aftermarket kits available for wide body modifications such as this one? Hiroboy or some other manufacturer makes them in three styles. Did you consider using them? What do you think of them? Thanks?
@JHHobby
@JHHobby 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for dropping by😁 For the glue, you can use any type of super glue (those multipurpose liquid fast drying type) I think u can also use thin polystyrene sheet to use as the arch guides. Yeah those ready made bodykits is great! Can save u a lot of times😂

Does the putty stick well to the body? Is the putty strong enough to withstand chipping from fall at height? I can see that you can trim off some surface of the putty using knife, does that mean it’s still not 100% strong?
@JHHobby

Hi, for me it stick to the body well enough (make sure to sand the body with rough sandpaper) and the putty is hard enough yet still workable with..u dont want a putty that is hsrd as rock right?😂 you cant make the shape you want if its too hard
