I took the front of my 2019 Fusion apart today and it took me four hours just to remove the front bumper and get to the front badge. I wanted to give up several times (like when the wheel well was literally slicing into my arm) but I refused to quit after I'd done so much already. I'm doing the font part purple and the rest black to match my car. :)

I like the way you fully remodeled your fusion and you motivated me soo much that I’m about to do the same and today I bought the halo kit with Bluetooth, I have a problem with my driver seat it stopped working and also I just bought a high and low rpm fuel pump sensor because these cars do have issues after a year or two with the car stalling out on you so it was a complicated part to find, but eventually I found it and ordered it , I watched another persons channel about this issue and there are a lot of videos because of that problem

So do you just pop off the emblem from the outside with the pry tool? I’ve tried checking out the inside trunk fasteners and they aren’t moving. Also trying to pry it off isn’t budging. Oddly enough, floss worked around the emblem with no issue. I’m lost. Do I just give it more force from the outside pry? You made it look extremely easy (and it looks so easy like the back fasteners aren’t there?). Thanks for all the support and vids.

Yeah if it’s not budging and there’s no extra hardware holding it in position other than the those prongs then it’s gonna be the adhesive. If that’s the case it’d be a good bet to go for a simple pry, if you head the adhesive it should be easier as well 👍🏼

It’s pretty straightforward, like I said at 5:44 it’s the same process but you remove the bumper to get access to the hardware

I can not explain how crazy this is because I JUST painted my emblem but not like this and it look horrible. This helps a LOT and what glue did you use to glue it back and how?

Happy to help! And I used a gorilla glue expanding glue, it has a soft spongy feel to it and I chose it because its malleable so it wont mess with any of the alignment

Rust-Oleum is better paint and any rattle can paint flows much better if you warm up the cans in water before spraying.

The prongs behind the emblem are pretty solid but the clips used to hold the liner being plastic aren't going to be too big of a deal if you do happen to break them, any auto parts store has replacements for a couple bucks!

So overall, how long did it take you to paint it?

Removal and prep was about 2-3hours, paint was only about an hour going between coats with dry time and whatnot, then I let it dry overnight and reinstalled it in the afternoon which only took a couple minutes

I think if I were you I would probably put garbage bag around the logo and use masking tape and then do it without removing it.

The thing with that is the prep would’ve been diminished and you wouldn’t be able to separate the colors as easily if you wanted to
