Way too fast, and does not at all explain HOW to create a data layout. Explains only copy an existing to a new one.

I very much want to build a custom layout, but I cannot figure out how to do it, and I cannot find any videos that show how to do it. Is this still in beta? Will there be a tutorial on making custom layouts soon?

Under basic tab - select - layout this will give u an empty box. This is the building screen of a custom layout eg and image field 2 rich text fields and a label. In the setting tab on the right of the screen Name the layout eg profileLayout, click the 3 dots next to the name and - Save as Data Viewer Layout. Now when you add Data Viewer List to your worksheet and choose the look of the Data Viewer scroll all the way to the very bottom and your saved Layout will be there

Nice video. I hope that there also will be a video/tutorial on how to filter and sort a view and/or data.

this doesnt make sense at all. where can you create this list? I can only see pre-designed lists. not a custom made list.

I was watching this video again because I wanted a custom layout. This video makes it look easy, but it is not. A pity that you are showing a ready-made custom layout and don't show how you made it. I had started over several times because every time I adjusted a setting for margin or padding, all my components kept on jumping around and did not stay in the place I had adjusted them first. It would be nice that when you place a UI component in your custom layout, then by just dragging and adjusting it, it would stay in its place. The same way as when you place components on your screen. This would save a lot of time adjusting the settings for margin and padding, etc.

Hi Pierre. As always, thanks for your feedback. The layout component is currently in beta, and the team is collecing Creator feedback, so we'll be sure to pass your comments on to them. Once it's out of beta the Creator Education team will likely put out a tutorial for this highly requested feature.

"In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to customize a Thunkable data viewer so you can display your data in a way that meets your user’s needs and reflects your brand design." completely untrue
