How to customize Business Central, an example with the Simple Object Designer

3:23 I like the field "Show on list". Maybe you should add functionality to order the fields on the pages, or group the fields on tabs. I sometimes end up with several "Item Lists" Pages for different users. Maybe "Simple Object Designer" should handle several lists of "order of fields" and which fields are visible and editable. Fully aware that I am not in the principal target group 🙂

There are settings for field groups, field order and for editable in the Designer. The problem is to keep videos not monster long :)

Any Idea why at 16:20 I can't find the CustomerNo Field? The Ownership table is anchored against table 18 (customer) But the only fields showing in the "Lookup Field Transfer" is PetNo, Name and Type.

I have a couple questions: 1) After you publish the app, can you continue to use the Object Designer to make additional changes/additions? 2) If so, I'm assuming that if a developer would use that code and make changes, that would prevent us from using the O.D. for additional development. ??

1) Yes 2) Correct, see the video about graduating from the Designer. But the code generated is also filled with events, so you could just create an extension to the app.

No, only works in the cloud. (But the published app would be deployable onprem)

@@Hougaard Thanks. I was asking this becasue I was wondering if it would be possible to have in client languahe label/field translation editor and then generate an app for that would include only translation files and somehow publish it within the client without powershell module.

Great question... But I think producing translations is a long way down on our roadmap.
