This particular tutorial needs more reviews....I tried this out for the first time following this tutorial and it came out very perfect. The only difference is I slanted my yoke by 0.5 before cutting at the shoulder line to avoid gaping. When you guys try any tutorial out,kindly drop your results so others will know who and who to spend their hard earned data on😅 Ma'am,I am super grateful❤ Wanna go watch your corset tutorials and try it out too....I already have confidence in you. ❤Love your tutorial, straight to the point, detailed and the easiest to understand for me so far, however i have one question, why cant the back and front just be the same length, i have a half length of 17inches with joining allowance thats 18inches, if i take out 1inch at the front dart, wont it shorten my half length? Pls reply
@ModernWomanApparel8 ай бұрын
It won't , the back and front half length are not same , the front is always longer than the back due to the bust, that's why the bust dart is there to equalize it by the side. Tie a rope on your waist and measure front and back, to comfirm

You are too good Ma'am, but I'm confused. You said the back and front length should not be the same Why?
@ModernWomanApparel Жыл бұрын
That is how it is, your back waist length is always shorter than the front. Making them equal is what causes folds or bulge around the zipper area. Tie a rope on your waist and measure your back and front waist length, you will understand better. For more understanding, watch my tutorial on basic bodice pattern.
