I hate to admit it Cliff, and I don't know about anyone else, but I'd much rather listen to the sounds from your cutting and polishing and your machine than to ever have to listen to that music ever again ! LOL Please.... Please Not Again ? Fingers down a chalk board aren't as painful as that sound. Excellent Freeform with an Excellent Polish. I give you Huge Kudos for even attempting to freehand carve and concave. It paid off because the end result is freaking awesome. Nice Work. The result was hopefully worth your frustrations.

Thanks...Yeah, once in a while I add some kooky music. I really do it for kids who watch my channel. It's music from Willy Wonka. Faceting went well, great polish as large quartz pieces are no easy to polish. The carving ummm...That needs more improving.

@@VintageTimeGems Trying the carving myself. Would love to see some more videos on it, there's so few videos about it on KZbin

Very interesting- you gave me so many ideas. I don’t have a facetting machine but I do have a a dremel and a flat lap and some fluorite. Your workflow with the dremel bits and the wood kebab sticks are my next projects. Thanks again. I loved the original gene wilder wonka and the tune was quite a memory lane trip. I did have to tap out on the volume after about 5 minutes.😂.thanks again and keep the inspiration coming please.

nice cutting. You got me thinking abut a Christmas tree with the baubles. I might try it on a nice flat backed stone. I have a few gems on a small desk top tree

I would to see a video on the entire collection of gems you have faceted.

Great video. I'm always interested in how others do the fantasy cutting. A nylon fan brush really speeds up the polishing process. My main designs as of lately are concave faceting. On my o.m.f

If you use the side of the bur it cuts faster and more evenly because the tip is hardly moving in comparison speed wise.

Ever think about getting one of them new fangled machines for cutting concave facets? As one who has cut steel with similar high RPM devices, I can barely imagine your frustration with the skipping and slipping... I notice that you seem to have no trouble polishing quartz with diamond, while most will say to use cerium oxide, your thoughts?

Ive collected mineral crystals and gems for near 50 years. And it drives me nuts seeing all these names of crystals popping up. There was a day when a crystal composed of certain minerals was called by its scientific name or one trade name. Now,a crystal fragment like this that looks like a weak citrine is called lemon quartz?...Whether weak in color or strong, depending what its composition was, determined its name, and the depth of color had no bearing.Heating and irradiating the stone wasnt call to relabel the stone either. Sales shows like Home Shopping Club and the like are the worst at relabeling stones with ridiculous names. Now these days, you never know what you are getting.

god if you could just get rid of that incessant music
