Excellent videos. You trained me to gain another useful DIY job. I'm curious---where can I buy that Miter Square with lips? Thank you very much for sharing. This is what I call unselfish sharing. God bless you. You're marvelous. Very glad I found your videos. Today, it's very hard to find reasonable rates for gutter service; so I'm even contemplating buying my own lift so I can do practically anything in my house. I'm a senior so a scissor lift will be a plus for me. I also have carpentry, plumming, and welding talents so your videos added to my arsenal. Again, a million thanks for your videos.

Nice work...but I think we need to educate without pattern....also my preference is to learn to cut from the outside of gutter (it's faster and works better for chop and drop company) ~22yr vet 4 states~ (I'm gonna watch some more videos...not many out there at all)
@carlbarfield52077 жыл бұрын
I agree with the cutting from the outside. always have, always will. 28 years exp.

Just so you know it’s easy made on the ground but up a storey high on a ladder your cutting skills and balance make it a craft. Good video though

Can I use a single piece to make the miter with less seam, instead of joining two pieces together?
@carlbarfield52077 жыл бұрын
Yes. Inside corners only. Just move the template to line up the back edge.

Can I use roof sealer (the black stuff) to seal a leaky gutter?
@carlbarfield52077 жыл бұрын
NOOOOOOO It's oil based, you'll never get anything else to stick to it if it leaks in the future.

Very nice miter, this looks way better than the stupid box corners we are using.

Martin I guess it would be even faster without corners at all. A comment like that would tell me your a real hack.

Zip screws are very sharp on the inside of the gutter so you have to watch out when cleaning them.

If you’re worried about a paper cut cleaning your gutters, you shouldn’t be up there. A little cut would be the last thing I would be worried about. People end up in the hospital from falls, not baby cuts.

Ha! Another guy who thinks it is intelligent to say "you suck," without any substantive criticism. It's sad and pathetic, really, that a person could think this is a meaningful thing to say.
@gutteruniversity12 жыл бұрын
Yeah, right! Plus, only a liar could justifiably call such a job "seamless" with 3 caulked seams at every miter!
@marty086612 жыл бұрын
jesus the whole house would be finished by now just using mitres
@carlbarfield52077 жыл бұрын
A reputable gutter guy can cut and assemble hand cut corners quicker than a guy using box mitres.

The comment does not match your profile picture. From your photo, I would have guessed you were a nice, positive person. Crazy that you are ignorant, and mean. I tried to find the video of your inside mitre,but there were no videos posted on your channel. Have a nice day. I truly hope things turn around for you Jessica. You deserve it.
