If I didn't comment I will be ungrateful to this channel, though I went to a fashion school but I just don't like sowing shirt cos it look technical until I was giving a contract to sew school uniform for a school that need involve sewing and I could not turn down the offer. What will it look like if I said I can't do it, Haa, then I started looking for simple tutorial on how to make school shirt but yours tutorial is not school shirt but I used it anyways and it came out really fine..am so, so happy that I came across your tutorial. This made the collar longer than usual I've been cracking my head to figure out where the extra inches came from because I made sure to do as you did in the video. I think you should follow the tutorial but make sure every measurement you’re using is yours. I think using both might get you a lil confused.

In that cases you need to add about one inch to your actual measurement on both side for ease.

Please for the back pattern you said you divide the shoulder by 4 while in the front you divide the shoulder by 2. Was there a mistake or not?

You divide the shoulders always by 2 for both the front and the back. So if your total shoulders is 16inches, you would mark 8 for front and back. Hope that makes sense.
