The front length is always longer depending on your preference. You can extend the back length by 3 or 4 inches from the waist line. But remember the must be equal at the sides

Yes exactly, I always advice to take out just 2inches from the waist, then add extra to the zip allowance, then after your clients fits it and the allowance is much, then you can trim.
