Very easy drafting. Excellent explanation! But I think you should have stitched the main fabric right sides facing and the linings too so that you hide the seam from showing. It would look more designer finished. My 3 cents concern. Otherwise great job. I am a designer from Kenya following you 😍

Many thanks Princess Were. All the edges were bias-bound and there's also a separate under-lining. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I am making one now, as a beginner, the interfacing that I use , I don’t know it’s not folding like yours. Secondly, are you not supposed to top stitch the bottom part and lastly are you not supposed to add seam allowance on the waist line. Please your help is urgently needed. May God bless you as you help me. This is time sensitive please and thank you so much.
@TresorTS3 ай бұрын
Yes you can topstitch the bottom part and you can also add seam allowance to the waist but it's all added to the length of mine.

Nice. If you had joined the outer pannels at the sides and then the inner pannels same way. Then joined the two circles at he bottem hem there would have been no raw edges inside the skirt near your legs.

Measure the circumference of the waist, divided by the number of panels you want to create... remember to add 1/2" seam allowance on each side of the panel that you'll join with..

Before sewing the bodice/ top part of the dress, to the skirt part of the dress, cut away 1/2 “ to 1” at the bottom of the zip side, don’t cut the sides of the bodies, just the bottom part of the bodice before adding the bodice to the skirt part of the dress 👗 that will stop the bulging, bulging happen because the bodice at the back is too long at the back waist, Hope this helps

I like what you do in using a material for stiffining its not that hard and its manageable.
@TresorTS5 жыл бұрын
Yes buckram stiffener is too hard and could get soft when you wash or dry clean it.
@ireneu90665 жыл бұрын
@@TresorTS please ma'am what is the best stiffening material to add, that would not be damaged by washing and would still be firm, even after years of use?
@Hershey1991095 жыл бұрын
Hello. Do you mind explaining how you cleaned up the the raw edges after connecting the panels all together

Thank you very much ma, but please which 1and half inch did you remove from that folded edge am confused?
@TresorTS5 жыл бұрын
1 and half that I took out was half of the 3 inches that I need for each of the panels on the knee. My knee circumference measurement is 36” and if I divide that in 12 panels, it gives me 3”. So on fold, that will be one and half. Hope that is clearer.
@okaforjoyce39645 жыл бұрын
+House of Tresor Academy It is, thanks for explaining.
How many layer does each panel have?? Please clear... Have you used 2 lining of plain black 1 is under ner fabric and another under white pasting material???
chinta ati - 4 mtrs should do, but it depends on how wide the panels are and how long the width of your fabric is to cover the front and back length of your panels
