thanks for this..ma pls do u mean if i add 1.5 allow while closing d dress i can sew in by 1nch on both side? and if i added 2 inches allow while closing i can sew in by 1inc pm both side? pls clarify me i usually find it difficult after cutting such dress and i want to close to give such effect..

If you put a one inch sewing allowance that is what you will sew with… then you’d add ease (pending on how big you want your kaftan or bubu to be) hope I answered you

2.5 by 1 for the back and 2.5 by 4.5 for the front… after turning the neck it will dear at 3inches width ,since I didn’t use a pattern paper to draft it. I hope you understand

I have sewed my and i put my hemming gum as you just did before sewing on top of the velvet,but it looks as if i added elastic on it,the front is not straight as the velvet is on it,am just confused if i can remove the velvet.

Pls ma except your velvet bias squeezed while sewing it… you can try to press and then pin before sewing down

Everything is in the video…the second slit was already hemmed in…then this other one was hemmed with the velvet bias to bring out the design

Nice tutorial, pls how many inches the you join the pockets with, is there slit at the back? The Front slits is the two hemmed before placing bias on one? Thank you❤

I came down from her shd to waistline to place the pocket…it was joined by half inch . No slit at the back …yes the two slits are hemmed before I placed my bias

Thanks for the tutorial. But, am confuse o. You first said u stitched the front slit and you later said u don't want to stich the front and u now used hemming gum to hold it down. Please, can u throw more light in that area (Biko) bcos I want to sew it. I want to know if am to sew it or hemming gum. Thanks for your response.

Uwc you can do the stitching or the hemming both will work just fine… so far it is bent in dear
