This man's mastery was just fed to you on a silver spoon. Years of experience just graced your eyes and ears for free. There should be a 'donate directly to this man's bank account button' in this video. Showing everyone why and how you get paid for what you do is kind of crazy. I hope you were compensated well. Either way... I'm grateful. This video will make my life easier. Thank you

@kingsherrick45283 жыл бұрын
If you pinch the tape to the side it'll stay at the length you want. You also typically have a bit of tolerance depending on the grid so you don't need a perfectly straight line just less than like 1/8" off

Great tips... THANK YOU!!! I've got a question re 'Inserting replacement ceiling tiles around sprinkler heads ' Every time I have to replace a water damaged ceiling tile (2x4, 2x4, etc) (acoustic ceiling panel, acoustic ceiling tile) it's a major struggle finagling the new tile up into the grid while getting the sprinkler head thru the tile hole. It's extra extra difficult, if not impossible, when: - head happens to be close to grid or tight to grid corner - very little room above grid (ie: duct work, pipe, etc) Is there a trick that I'm not aware of? I googled the following and NOTHING comes up?? "how to insert ceiling tiles around sprinkler heads" "ceiling tiles around sprinkler heads" "how to replace ceiling tiles around sprinkler heads" "replace ceiling tiles around sprinkler heads" Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated!

So how would recommend marking very heavily textured drop tiles? When I try an mark by scoring I can never find my marks again because of how "Rocky" the visible surface is. I have never felt with drop ceilings and just signed on with a maintenance crew that are a total clown show and have no clue what they are doing, so I'm sure there is a better way to do it than how they have been showing me. We have been marking on the backs of the tiles because it's smooth. Also there is so much texture that trying to recut cut the edges where it seats on the rails and drops down is absurd because the stuff just disintegrates and leaves really rough edges. Idk if you have any tips but the building flooded so it looks like my life is these awful tiles for awhile.
