I've been cutting my partner's hair for the last 5 years thanks to your men's haircut video from years ago that I watched so many times until I was confident! Thanks so much for the videos. Hope everyone's corona cuts turn out well!!

Belated thanks for your tutorial of years back on Cutting Men's Medium Long Hair with Scissors. My wife has been cutting my hair for years because I have Parkinson's Disease and it's uncomfortable for me to go to a salon. She always did an okay job, but with your help, has become much more proficient. Can't thank you enough!

Watched your vid from 2013 to cut my hubby's medium length hair for the first time during quarantine and did pretty good!! Your instructions and video are excellent! Hubby looks much cleaner and ready for video calls. Probably watched 10-15 videos and yours was the most instructive and easiest to comprehend. Thank you so much!!

Thank you so much for the tips. We can still go to the hairdressers here but it's hard to get out with kids. I want to tackle my sons hair so i can do it in the future at those times we don't have time to see a pro and he needs a freshen up. I tackled my fringe last week for the first time and i have to say i did a pretty good job. No more long annoying fringes for me now i can maintain it myself in between professional cuts

I have watched hundreds of different videos on how to cut my boys hair since this pandemic started. April is by far the best teacher out there! I hope you continue to make them. You are truly amazing at what you do and have taught me so much! If you could only teach me how to get rid of the lines on my 2 years hair 😂 His hair is so light and thin you see everything.
@sprinkles_0913 жыл бұрын
so i just watched an a line bob tutorial of yours with the girl and the pretty brown hair that was really thick! it took me a second to realize, that this might have been the small child i could hear playing in the BG of your video from 2013. lol! mine is 9 and im doing the a-line on her tonight bc she keeps complaining that her hair (like the girl in your old video) is WAY too heavy! its down to her hips and shes started refusing to wash it. i took 3 years of masterclasses in school, but never finished. i needed a refresher, and i love your videos so much, bc even with my learning disability, you have never over complicated things for me, or used terms i cant understand. so i just wanted to say thank you!! you are very much appreciated

Teaching a novice to clipper cut I would recommend using the gages . 1 or 1/2 gage for the fade sides and back nape area. 2 or 3 gage middle of back head. Scissors to blend if no scissors 6 or 8 gage for the top. Putting the flat blade against the head even with an upward wrist motion takes practice. Cleaning and oiling clippers are a must!

I am an amateur barber and I am thankful to learn many ways jn blending the heavy line above the clipper cut (bulk, weight line, parietal ridge line or whatever it is called). You've stated shear over comb, scissor over fingers and higher number of guard. Now, I have two questions: 1. If I cut with number 2 guard below, would it be just enough if I will just blend the weight line with higher number? What could it be? 2. Will this be enough? I am clarifying this because some barbers (in you tube) used all 3 techniques together. Will one technique be enough? Please help. blending is soooooooooo difficult for me to do.

Hi, April's technic is super easy. I used one of her videos to learn how to cut my husband's hair and he is pleased with it. I was just scared since I have never cut hair before. The more you do it the more confident you may feel. I was confident enough to watch her video on "how to cut a long shag". Well, believe I was bit scared. Watching April's video helped me feel confident. Well, I liked how my hair turned out, even my husband. Even if you mess up, try again. Like my husband once told me, "its ok if I mess up, it'll grow back". Isn't he trooper?

Because people are rude and disrespectful. If they don't like her work then simply keep it moving and find someone else they like, but no....people gotta be mean and insulting, so she turned the comments off. I can't blame her one bit. I don't understand why people are so awful to one another. And I'll bet you, none of the rude commentors can even cut decent looking bangs!
