This was so educational in terms of technique and properties of the lighting effects on labradorite. Thank you for sharing this!

Thanks for your video! Based on your experience could you tell what is the thinnest of labrodorite plate possible to retain shining? Is it possible to make 1-2 millimeters thin shining plates?

this is the second video i have watched by you. i had to stop watching the first one [secrets to polishing rocks] because i could here nothing. much of this one is the same way [how to cut labradorite gemstone]. this is particularly a pity because i can tell you have so much to offer us . i am sure there must be something you can do about it. thankyou .

Hello! For those of use without equipment, would you cut and polish labradorite to specific size for a price? What would you charge?
@DanielMillerlife3 жыл бұрын
Chelsea, I am over burdened right now ... but there are ways to get cabs - check out Kingsley North, Google it there are many sellers that sell different cabs. I also have a facebook page "I Love Rocks Gemstones and Minerals" you can google that too. Keep on Rocking and hope in the future you can acquire the equipment you need.

What I've noticed about Labradorite is that you need the fractures running through the rock in order to bend and twist the light into the colors you see.
@DanielMillerlife4 жыл бұрын
Yes very difficult to find and make cabs from. It can come and go in layers. Thank you for watching. And thank you for your comment. Have a Great Day.

@@DanielMillerlife Someone who watches their comment section, I like that. In the comments section on your videos I see a lot of people talking about audio levels, if you want a little bit of help or some advice on how to fix your audio, let me know. Great videos, some really interesting stuff!

I'm 2 mins into this video and already wish everybody cared like this guy. He cares about the color flash an well it shows. Not everybody cares, when making mass amounts they just cut them an say fuck it. An then u get some with flash that can only be seem from weird angles or only half the 40mm tall cab has flash or worst of all half has flash 1 way an the other flash either not at all or at a weird angles

I was told that the labradorite cells needed to be cut out individually. Looked to me you just cut straight through it.

The color comes and goes, that is what I was trying to get across in the video. What you see on the surface may disappear below or may come back. You never know.

At $50 you really need to know it is full of color at all levels. But you really don't know until you do some cutting. Thank you for Watching.
