@@greysonosterberg7101 I just feel as though nearly all instruction in standard is directed to the man. It's almost as though the woman is irrelevant in the case of standard dancing.

@@TerryStratton short answer is that yes people do talk to the woman. it can be very Male dominated, and often in a negative way. That is unfortunate. I think in person lessons give a lot more instruction to the lady, so online looks worse than it actually is. Further, a lot of focus is given to the man because when the man does his part well, the lady’s part becomes much easier. Vice Versa is not always true. It is a nuanced situation full of some good and some bad but you are definitely on to something!
