Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 online has a meta. Where you will find that meta is in Ranked matches, specifically in without limitations. Here is a guide to counter and adapt to some of the various controversial tactics that are used in online ranked matches.

I personally don't take ranked matches seriously. However, for me it's the best mode to get consistent matches and test out themed builds etc. I know many of you don't participate in ranked for various reasons but I hope this video helps regardless.

I don’t understand why people use mods because Anti-Cheat exists and if someone is using something like Surging Spirit or Marbling Drop, then they take 70% more damage than normal which is unplayable for the modder since he/she basically dies in one combo.

There isn't an Anti Cheat. It's just a bug. Personally I think if you have those skills equipped on ANY of your CaCs then you shouldn't be allowed to join Online Matches. There is a sort of Anti Cheat for people who's stats are modified on PC. For example if you use Save Editor to give yourself infinite stat points then it prevents you from joining online.

Most of the npc skills are filtered through the way skills are marked [or not] for cac use. The ones that still get used are marked for cac use so the game doesn't know to filter them. This may or may not get fixed seeing as its pretty clear the developers intended all npc skills to be barred off

Not super conventional, but if you're in a team battle and find the modder, and your ally can get ready, you can use position shift on the modder and have your ally stamina break them while they're confused. Then one body change later, you have all the power.

04:45 a good build against those users is goku with Zudodoeyah Soul and the combo type stats ( the one with highest basics ) slap instant transmission on him and go ssj 2 grabs = Ultimate damage and you can cut your distance super fast when he starts using poses sooo ye

The low stamina issue would be solved if they just made it so that it take the same amount of time for 3 bars to fill as 10 does. There is no excuse not to have a shitload of stamina, it's so easy and has little investment. If they want they can balance it around 8 and give players going over that a slight advantage, but that's it, these 3 bar builds should not exist, they should just be impossible to play. It also would help make certain characters balanced and not make their gigantic stamina bars necessary.

If you know the opponent hacks leave in the lobby by closing the game and reloading takes only a min. You won't lose any progress if you're going for top 10 and it stops them from getting tp.

If youre still struggling with a ki shot for as long as this game has been out competitive play isn't for you. You should not need a whole build to counter a universal move and counters like those don't work on players who see it coming. I'll shoot a ki shot on purpose knowing they'll counter to dodge their attack and ki shot them immediately right after they're vulnerable. It's gonna take intuition and a bit of thinking to fight. Nobody never talk about the purpose of ki shots which is plain in your face but everyone seriously only plays one way and don't understand what they're really doing which is why most players strugle

As well as it works, it isn’t fun man. I’ve fought so many matches using ki stuns and it just feels so bland and lackluster. I think everyone knows how to avoid them, they just don’t like the fact that it’s even a thing to begin with, add the sweats and tryhards to the mix and there’s really no point in playing competitively, but that’s just my opinion, I only keep playing it because I like doing themed builds and challenges to at least make it somewat fun

If you can't fight with ki shots nor against easy combo cancels like male humans and saiyans you still have work to do and close to nobody knows how to fully play the game online and this is coming from a player with a 95% winrate off of default cast characters in unlimited matches and the number is a lie because my player match wins don't even count anymore only my loses do. I have well over 5000 hours of playtime and am the best player in the game and will take challenges from anyone who truly thinks otherwise. I just beat a squad in a endless with saibamen that wanted my head. Honestly I don't listen to much players have to say on balance in xv2 because it's hypocritical and typically they still don't understand everything. Go get a playstation and we can run rounds soon

What about 2v2 lobby fighting pose F and Gaaaah super soul which instantly regents stamina and fighting pose f only reduces stamina so whenever you stamina break it instantly resets back to 100% making the opponent ungrabable and take no damage

I played a modder online once and he has a super Saiyan 2 villainous mode awoken (from xenoverse 1 for those who don't know what that is, it's like a weaker version of supervillain in xenoverse2) and it had an auto-dodge that appeared to drain no Stamina and dodged everything I tried final explosion to hit it and used all my stamina and he won without taking any damage. I agreed to the match mostly for experience so I knew he was going to use mods, but my point is modders can do a lot of things so go all out from the start don't give them the chance to do anything because you don't know what they actually have
