I also had a hysterectomy and have gone through menopause and the symptoms. I chose not to take any medications, but did take vitamins. What I found that helped the most was having the right & positive attitude. Of course adjusting my diet, (more vegetables, especially green, fruits, fiber, protein and water; minimizing carbs & sugar) I also walked a lot, to get fresh air, clear my mind, think, relax and just move. Years later, I find I need to keep doing all the above in order to maintain good health, weight and a positive mental attitude. You will get through this and it will pass, I promise. :)

I am going through menopause and have hot flashes all the time but they are a lot better these days. I used to sweat all over my whole body but after I started taking the brand Solgar Female Multivitamins for 3 years, I now only sweat around my neck and my head. This brand of supplements have dong quai, black cohosh and milk thistle among other ingredients that really reduced hot flashes I was getting. I don't work for that company. I think that’s one of the parts as believers we will always be mindful of trusting and believing God. That’s what frustrate Jesus, unbelief. Didn’t stop him from performing miracles in most cases but in others people missed the blessing cause they didn’t believe. Lord God, please help our unbelief in Jesus name. I think the difficulties we go through look different depending on what season we are in. For example, in the season I’m in now I’m not battling any health issue, but my biggest difficulties are parenting young adult children alone(I’m a widow) and also being the only black woman and believer at both of my jobs. One year ago, those two things were not what I considered difficult. God is so amazing and although sometimes we don’t understand what he’s doing, why he’s doing it or why He allows some things to happen, we have to continuously remind ourselves that he’s in control no matter the difficulty. In each difficulty, I’m learning that God wants to show us the different versions of who He is: I Am, Jehovah Raphael, Abba, and so on.
