Wait so like. I checked the almanac thing and most of my homeless were broke, 20 of them were. But I had 34 bunkhouses with parks behind them, police stations around and bus stops but they still were homeless

Good question, and to be honest with you I cant give you a for sure answer, what I can tell you is that it shouldnt, generally the same aspects of gameplay for both, at least thats hot it was in Tropico 5.

And I always have modern homes as soon as they become available in the second era and set their budget to max and housing quality is always 100 then no matter their location. I notice that yours are not at 100 even with max budget and show off.

The PS5 update has different content from my old PS4 files. Plus it's doing an anniversary thing atm with hidden piñatas 🪅 in the game which give rewards etc. Finding them is fun. They hide in farms or sometimes at taverns etc, it's a nice feature.

Well you was wrong right off the bat. You can get 0 homeless if there's an abundance of jobs. I can tell from 600+ vacant homes and 200+ unemployed that you're not great at this game.

True, but not everyone wants to play that way, there are many ways to go about your Island and pleasing different factions. Your way isn’t right or wrong, but this is for the people that want to go about their island a different way.

This is the first thing I research and implement in the colonial era so that the people start off good. However, when the economy is better and everyone has a job, I stop using it because of financial reasons - I haven´t found a way to sustain that many residential buildings that don´t make a profit yet. It´s tempting to build a lot of housing, but I´ve found that it´s not wise due to the way the economy works - it´s better to match the housing need regularly to the type of people who needs the homes instead. If a bunch of shacks pop up around my new mining-operation for instance, I look at: Will their salary make them "well off"? If so, I don´t build a bunkhouse but maybe two regular houses instead nearby. I sometimes click on the homeless person to see the wealth-level of them to better discern what type of residential building to build. Another thing I pay attention to is how full my buildings are - I don´t build a new bunkhouse until my other bunkhouses in the near vicinity are making a profit - keep an eye on profit/upkeep costs to have an idea about when it´s feasible to build a new home.
