Oh your noises of self judgement are so familiar!! Especially the confused wonderment of What...?! So relatable!

I have never been the type to have a lot of UFOs. My mother was (is) notorious for starting projects and never finishing them, so I grew up surrounded by a mess of useless objects. It drove me absolutely bonkers and I refuse to follow in her footsteps. That being said, I am very guilty of having an occasional project sitting around for months at a time because it just needs buttons or something silly and I don't want to sit down and do it. I always feel so much better when I do finally get it done! I look forward to seeing these projects pop up on your podcast as you work through them.

Oh my gosh, great timing! Summer of UFOs is also on my agenda right now. Love the plan for X-files viewing. Good luck!

Hi Bailey, your face when you pulled out that mess of yarn, made me think of the mess that my mum had in her oddments drawer under the bed, I too need to work on my own pile, however I sprained my wrist a couple of weeks ago and until earlier tonight I hadn’t managed to hold a knife comfortably, hopefully by Sunday I’ll be back to knitting again.

I'm a really big user of the Ravalery projects option, but I'm also a big journaler, and I don't know why it never occurred to me to post a list of my UFOs somewhere like a bulletin board so it's easier to see them and mark them off. My UFO list has been a bit stagnant for a while because I'm in a temporary living situation with the majority of my stash actually in storage, but that's going to be changing soon, and I'm really excited to start checking things off the list!

I just recently completed an Irish knit sweater , that I started in 2007 ! It sat unfinished for nearly 15 years with just one sleeve left to do. Talk about satisfaction !

I love a good wip/ufo round up and work down! You inspired me so I pulled out my basket of finished projects that just need ends woven in and worked on those while watching :)

I always knit the sleeves first and then the body. Especially for bottom-up raglans I find that it gives me that momentum that I need to finish it once I've done the body.

I'll also be going to Rhinebeck for the first time this year! I have a similar goal of fixing/frogging a few of my older projects this summer while also not buying yarn lol

It's a vibe 😅 I will feel so justified in enjoying myself there if I tie up all these literal loose ends first. Good luck with yours!

I loved this! You have inspired me to do something similar, except mine are not just knitting projects…I’ve got quilts, project bags, cross stitch, and perler beads all at different stages too…oh, and I just learned to crochet, so now I just want to do that 24/7! I am going to try to knock some of the WIPS out with you. I even have a cross stitch project that literally took me 4 years to finish, but I still haven’t washed or framed it 🙄 It’s the finishing steps that hang me up on my projects usually. I think I am a process maker more than product focused. Which are you? 🙂 Thank you for the inspiration! Good luck 😁

I'm very product focused, but I think I like starting new projects the most 😂

From the little snippets we see your house looks just as cute as your craft room! Any chance of getting a tour of the rest of the house?

I think I might freestyle a project bag like yours with my scraps. if I add a lining I won't even have to sew in my ends.

The ribbed scarf is a good car project. Just keep it there. If you are in line at the bank, or arrive somewhere early and have 5 minutes you don't have to look at a pattern to add a few rows. Otherwise, yes incredibly boring. lol
