Not even close. Just watch burrfection's video Sharpest knives you can't buy. Some knives he tested scored 8 on a PT50A BESS tester.

Why don't you use another mixture for the suspension? Something like a gel, Vaseline or thin oil. I like your videos!

Superb presentation. Maybe I missed it, but I assume the deburring was at exact edge angle? Thanks.

Yes, correct - this steel is in the "Negative burr group", all honing goes at the exact edge angle.

i would never do the application while the wheel is on the machine like this. you are spraying abrasives all over the whole areas. I would get diamond powder and mix my own solution. I would apply to substrate carefully. but then again i would never do any of these things. i would never use any of this equipment like powered felt wheel etc. its totally superfluous and unneeded, diamond on a substrate like wood is more than suitable for manual mechanic use, no power needed at all to do anything. power tools are are for real course grinding and shaping. power strop? silly. with diamonds even more silly. Felt is okay substrate, but it really doesn't matter. MDF is fine. You can use anything just need to hold abrasive and correct level of deflection and compression for desired results. the suspension of abrasive must be adjusted for the substrate used.
