Decluttering also takes your mind from a fight or flight state of your nervous system(sympathetic nervous system) which is important if you are in danger and have to protect yourself so in this mindset the importance of organization of stuff or thought isn’t important…to a rest and digest state of your nervous system(parasympathetic nervous system) and the body naturally uses this state to carry out the processes that are essential to literally our living body down to breathing and other bodily functions so decluttering I believe gives your mind an illusion of a sort of “rest and digest” phase that allows you to focus on the “important” things that you have to do and not focusing on the extra stuff….this was long winded but I hope it makes some sense.
