Hey Gail! I've also covered some opaque white plastic pens with great results baking at 275F for the full 15-30 minutes! How about a long extruded snake of clay of different colors spiraled around the pen?

How does the clay cure baking on such a low heat? Won't the clay crack or break off if not cured properly?

I always bake at a lower temperature but for longer, rather than higher for a shorter time - this works great for pens
