Hi Donna🙋‍♀️It’s so funny that you mentioned that. I was just talking to my mom earlier and I was telling her that I need to get my basement under control because it looks like a decor bomb went off. She asked me if I was going to stop thrifting so much and I said “nope never “ I just need to be able to manage my decor hoard😆🤣😆hugs❤️

I make a mess doing just about anything lol. Especially when I'm cleaning, seems like I make a mess then clean then have to clean the mess I made too. Love your decorations. Love the primitive so much. Thank you for your ideas.

Absolutely messy! I am in a big mess right now because I'm taking down winter and trying to put up spring! It's like one of those snowball things,, I go from one thing to another. Hopefully I will get done today. This is just the video I need to be watching right now!❤❤❤😊

I’ 68 yr. old.. I usually don’t sweet talk my hubby,tho I know he would be happy to help in a heartbeat. I just know how to do all those things myself & enjoy doing it as I decorate my home. My ceilings are 10’ in my Victorian home ….so sometimes when get up high on my rickety ladder to change out my heavy drapery, I text hubby…..you may find me laid out in the yard if I fall out the window!…..lol

Hi Melanie, Love the color of your primitive cabinet. I really enjoy seeinng how you incorporate pip berries into your decor. Yes, I make piles every where when I change decor. The rearrangement of your secretary cabinet look nice with the wreath. The rolling pins look good in the basket. Beautiful yellow ware bowl. Great idea using the cast iron skillets. Very inspiring, thank you.

Mel it’s for sure I’m a messy decorator. I have little piles everywhere. Love your cupboard. It looks beautiful the way you decorated it. Maybe this summer for the 4th of July you could close the door so you can see the wonderful blue of the door. Love and blessings 💙💙💙

My mom used the Murphys soap too, even for mopping the wood floors and they would shine so beautifully! She would use the Murphys oil for polishing also. I remember Saturday mornings when mom would clean and our home smelling like Murphys😊 Lol Definitely have to do some sweet talking sometimes😄 Definitely make messes when decorating, i have one room where i store all my goodies and when i start pulling things out... its messy!😄 On my step back top doors are open, bottom ones are closed. I'm always switching things up. Love all your prim pieces! Love my rolling pins too😊 My burlap sack will hang on my cabinet door. I think both cabinets turned out awesome! Thanks for sharing!😊

Hi Tammy🙋‍♀️did your mom ever use liquid gold? That was another one my mom used that I always loved, it really smells good. I can remember she would use it to shine and protect our paneling. Twice a year she would Spring clean and fall clean. That’s when mom would wipe down all the walls and ceilings. Our home had paneling and she would first clean them with the murphys then wipe them down with liquid gold. Our home smelt soo good. I even use the murphys on my ceramic tile. I’m so glad they still make it. Have a great week ❤️😊

We didn't have paneled walls so i pretty sure she didn't use that one, just the Murphys. I'm thinking my grandma did, she had paneled walls in the family room, and i do remember the brand, so I'm guessing that's where i remember it from.

I am 63 years old and that is what Calumet tins looks like in the 60s and 70s. It was the only brand we used and it had to be fresh.

Why no color on the walls? You could get a really nice red primitive Victorian wallpaper or something and bring warmth to your home instead of all that clutter you could have like a Tuscan classy dining room with just some of the decor
